Matthew Dunster will direct Rodney Ackland's Before The Party at the Almeida Theatre from 21 March - 11 May 2013. Based on a short story by Somerset Maugham, Before The Party has designs by Anna Fleischle with lighting by Philip Gladwell and sound by Ian Dickinson. Dunster's production of Before The Party will be the first in over 25 years.

The Traverse Theatre Company has teamed up Peepolykus to bring one of Edinburgh's best loved figures, Arthur Conan Doyle, back to life for a seasonal celebration. The Arthur Conan Doyle Appreciation Society takes the form of an illustrated lecture about life, death and the afterlife. Ideas of the rational collide with the supernatural and an evening presentation descends into farce, in typical Peepolykus fashion, as John, Javier and Gabriel get to grips with everything from fairies to particle physics.

Staged in the striking setting of a disused print works in the town centre, The Bacchae runs from Friday 18 May to Saturday 30 June and takes to the Royal stage from Friday 25 May to Saturday 30 June. Music & Lyrics has announced a national tour of Leicester Curve's acclaimed production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's smash-hit musical THE KING AND I, opening at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre on 17 December 2011, with previews from 14 December 2011. Ramon Tikaram will play the role of ‘The King' and Josefina Gabrielle will play the role of ‘Anna'.

The world-renowned Abbey Theatre of Dublin, credited for producing some of the most significant and important plays of the 20th century, returns to the Annenberg Center for the first time since 2004 for performances of Irish playwright Mark O'Rowe's critically-acclaimed play TERMINUS, February 16-20, 2011. A dark, supernatural odyssey set over one night in the city, TERMINUS will fully satisfy the appetite of theatre lovers through excellent acting and rich text. Performances by the Abbey Theatre, the national theatre of Ireland, are part of a seven-city U.S. tour celebrating the Abbey's 100th anniversary of touring in America. The Abbey Theatre last performed at the Annenberg Center in 2004 to rave reviews of J.M. Synge's riot-inducing play The Playboy of the Western World. Tickets are $25-$35 (weekday evening performances) a $28-$48 (evening performances).
