Jim Dale at Roundabout

Veteran actor Jim Dale has a long history with Roundabout Theatre Company. Starting with one of Roundabout's earliest successes, A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, Jim Dale has performed in five Roundabout productions over the last 30 years. In his brand new solo show, Just Jim Daleunder the direction of Tony winner Richard Maltby, Jr. (Fosse, Ain't Misbehavin'), Dale shares his passion for the stage as he recounts a lifetime of irresistible showbiz tales. We look back at some of his great roles at Roundabout below.

Never have I presented a more aptly-titled show than Just Jim Dale, beginning previews this week at the Laura Pels Theatre. Yes, it's just Jim up there on stage, alone but for a pianist and a stool. But if you think that 'just' signifies something small, then you don't know Jim Dale at all.

GAME OF THRONES' Owen Teale to Lead Birmingham Repertory Theatre's UNDER MILK WOOD, 2-7 June

GAME OF THRONES actor Owen Teale will star in director Terry Hands' new production of UNDER MILK WOOD at Birmingham Repertory Theatre from June 2 to 7. The production marks the centenary of Dylan Thomas' birth, as well as the 60th anniversary since UNDER MILK WOOD was first produced in Britain, as a radio play by the BBC, in 1954. A cast of Welsh actors also includes TORCHWOOD actor Kai Owen and Steven Meo (THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS).

Owen Teale to Star in UK Tour of Dylan Thomas' UNDER MILK WOOD

GAME OF THRONES actor Owen Teale will star in director Terry Hands' new production of UNDER MILK WOOD, which will embark on an English tour, following its run at Clywd Theatr Cymru and a Welsh tour, at York Theatre Royal on Monday 21 April. The production marks the centenary of Dylan Thomas' birth, as well as the 60th anniversary since UNDER MILK WOOD was first produced in Britain, as a radio play by the BBC, in 1954. A cast of Welsh actors also includes TORCHWOOD actor Kai Owen and Steven Meo (THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS).

BWW Reviews: PRIVATES ON PARADE Original London Cast Recording

From the Olivier & Ivor Novello award-winning comedy by Peter Nichols, the original London cast recording of Privates on Parade is being released today; the latest CD from Stage Door Records. The show focuses on the fictional Song And Dance Unit South East ASIA (SADUSEA) who are stationed in Singapore and Malaysia during the late 1940s.

The Broadway production of Shakespeare's timeless love story ROMEO AND JULIET, starring international film star Orlando Bloom in his Broadway debut opposite two-time Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad, closes today, December 8, 2013, after 27 previews and 93 regular performances at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street). Directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux, Romeo and Juliet began previews on Saturday, August 24, 2013 and opened on Thursday, September 19, 2013.

ROMEO AND JULIET, Starring Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad, Extends Through December 8 on Broadway

It was announced today that the Broadway production of Shakespeare's timeless love story ROMEO AND JULIET, starring international film star Orlando Bloom in his Broadway debut opposite two-time Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad, will play two weeks past its originally announced 14-week limited Broadway engagement - with a final performance set for Sunday, December 8, 2013, after 27 previews and 93 regular performances at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street).

Stage Left Theatre to Present A DAY IN THE DEATH OF JOE EGG, 1/14-2/16

Stage Left Theatre announces their upcoming revival of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg written by Peter Nichols and directed by ensemble member Greg Werstler. A Day in the Death of Joe Egg is the second production of Stage Left's 32ndseason. Press opening is Tuesday, January 14th at 7:30 PM at Theater Wit, 1229 W Belmont. The show runs through February 16th.
