As part of its continued commitment to developing New Works, TheatreWorks, the nationally-acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, is hosting its seventh annual Writers' Retreat January 17-24.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater continues its 15th anniversary season with the world premiere of Blind, by Craig Wright (The Pavilion, Lady). Directed by Lucie Tiberghein (The Pavilion, Geometry of Fire), performances begin Wednesday, February 17th, 2010. Opening night is Thursday, February 25th at 7pm. The show is scheduled to run through Sunday, March 21st, 2010.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), has announced that Jonathan Moscone of the California Shakespeare Theater is the first recipient of the Zelda Fichandler Award, which recognizes an outstanding director or choreographer who is transforming the regional arts landscape through his singular creativity and artistry in theatre.

Directed by Dexter Bullard (Bug), the critically acclaimed production is being produced in association with Barrow Street Theatre. Performances began Thursday, August 28th, 2008. Opening night was Monday, September 8th at 7pm. The show will run now run through Saturday, October 11, 2008.

The sultry, young big band front-woman Tamela D'Amico, who is based in Los Angeles, brings a 7-piece combo to her hometown New York to celebrate the recent release of her debut recording, 'The Tamela D'Amico Album.' In what will be her New York City debut, D'Amico holds court at the Metropolitan Room, for four exclusive performances, Saturday February 2, and Thursday to Saturday February 7, 8, 9. All shows are at 10pm.

Dylan McDermott, Peter Krause, Jill Clayburgh, Taye Diggs, Kristin Chenoweth, Jim Dale, Swoosie Kurtz, Christina Applegate, Jean Smart, Frances O'Connor, Victor Garber, Laura Benanti, Loretta Devine and Judy Greer will be among the theatre veterans featured in new shows as part of ABC's fall TV line-up.

E! Online reports that 'Eli Stone,' a pilot with Broadway's Laura Benanti among its stars, has been picked up by ABC.
