An award-winning Broadway creative team and a stellar cast of Broadway veterans and newcomers have assembled to bring one of Jane Austen's most beloved romances to life. The much-anticipated world premiere of SENSE & SENSIBILITY THE MUSICAL, book and lyrics by Jeffrey Haddow and music by Neal Hampton, receives its world premiere April 5 - May 26, 2013 (press opening April 11), presented by the Denver Center Theatre Company, in The Stage Theatre at the Denver Center for Performing Arts at 14th and Champa. Producing Artistic Director Kent Thompson selected SENSE & SENSIBILITY THE MUSICAL after it became a runaway hit at the 2012 Colorado New Play Summit. The production is staged by Director and Choreographer Marcia Milgrom Dodge, whose recent Broadway revival of Ragtime received six Tony Award nominations.

According to the Daily Mail, Rafe Spall is in final talks to join Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig in Harold Pinter's BETRAYAL, directed by Mike Nichols (Death of a Salesman), for a limited run on Broadway beginning in October 2013 at the Barrymore Theatre. BETRAYAL will begin rehearsals in August.

Chris Larkin joins David Bark-Jones, Maureen Beattie, Simon Bubb, Danielle Flett, Geoffrey Freshwater, Neil Pearson, Thomasin Rand and Sasha Waddell in the UK tour of Michael Frayn's multi- award-winning backstage comedy Noises Off, directed by Lindsay Posner. Following its acclaimed run at The Old Vic and then at the Novello Theatre in the West End, Noises Off will tour theatres across the UK and Ireland from tonight, 27 March 2013. New dates have also been confirmed, which include Birmingham New Alexandra Theatre, Cardiff's Wales Millennium Centre, Glasgow King's Theatre and the Wycombe Swan.

Running almost every Wednesday through Sunday between now and April 21, 2013, is a world premiere musical that is certainly worth seeing. It's "Under A Rainbow Flag," with book, music and lyrics by Chicagoan Leo Schwartz, and based on the recollections of the now 91-year-old Jon Phillips, living in retirement in Evanston and present on opening night. The show is running in the Profiles Theatre Main Stage space at 4139 N. Broadway, in Chicago's Buena Park neighborhood, in the Uptown community area.

Theatre for a New Audience in association with Baryshnikov Arts Center, present Kathryn Hunter in the New York premiere of Kafka's Monkey, based on A Report to an Academy by Franz Kafka adapted by Colin Teevan and directed by Walter Meierjohann, for an18-performance run thru Wednesday, April 17.

EDGE, ORDER, RUPTURE, featuring works by Josef Albers, Jo Baer, Lygia Clark, Sarah Crowner, Liam Gillick, Peter Halley, Carmen Herrera, Catherine Lee, Tony Lewis, Sol LeWitt, Robert Mangold, Helio Oiticica, Charlotte Posenenske, Sean Scully and Kate Shepherd, will be on view at Galerie Lelong April 4 - May 4, 2013. Elaine Paige celebrates her love of jazz classics and contemporary songs in her own unique style in a one-night-only headline performance tonight, February 27, at 8:00pm at McCallum Theatre. Paige is famous for her countless successes on both sides of the Atlantic, from originating the role of Grizabella in Cats to her Broadway debut in Sunset Boulevard. She is an actress, recording artist, producer and broadcaster and has made a major contribution to the modern musical which ensures her own chapter in the entertainment world and justifies the title 'The First Lady of Musical Theatre'.

These comprise 67 performances of eight different operas, beginning October 5, 2013 and concluding March 23, 2014: new productions of Parsifal, La traviata, The Barber of Seville, and Rusalka (Lyric premiere); a revival of Otello; and new-to-Chicago stagings of Madama Butterfly, Die Fledermaus, and La clemenza di Tito. Lyric's music director, Sir Andrew Davis, will lead three operas, and guest conductors Marco Armiliato, Bertrand de Billy and Michele Mariotti will make their house debuts. Additionally, Lyric will present a new production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music in the spring of 2014, continuing the company's American Musical Theater Initiative, and Davis will conduct a special Subscriber Appreciation Concert in March featuring Lyric's creative consultant - the star soprano Renee Fleming - with tenor Jonas Kaufmann.

Fifteen plus years in the making, the NY premiere of Tina Packer's Women of Will, her groundbreaking exploration of Shakespeare's canon through the eyes of his female characters opens officially on Sunday, February 3, 2013, after having begun previews on January 29, at The Gym at Judson (243 Thompson Street, at Washington Square South) in Manhattan. Eric Tucker ('Saint Joan') directs. This production of Women of Will marks Ms. Packer's New York stage debut, both as an actress and a playwright. One of BBC TV's most popular and fondly remembered sitcoms, BIRDS OF A FEATHER, ran for almost 10 years until 1998.
