Final casting and a full list of creatives is announced for the UK premiere of Superior Donuts by the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning American playwright Tracy Letts, which will run in The Little at Southwark Playhouse from Tuesday 11 February - Saturday 8 March. Plummer recreated his Tony Award-winning role of legendary actor John Barrymore in the film adaptation of William Luce's Broadway play of the same name. Barrymore will air on Great Performances, Friday, January 31 at 9 p.m., ET on PBS

I recently sat down to chat with Jane Lapotaire in her dressing room at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre as she prepared for a matinee performance of Richard II. As we talked, Lapotaire chortled over a greeting card (sent by a long time actor friend) that featured a spotted pig wearing a crown. Lapotaire explained the joke: the pig was a Gloucester Old Spot--a sly reference to Lapotaire's role as the Duchess of Gloucester in the production of Richard II currently playing to sell-out crowds.

Returning to the London stage for the first time in nearly 40 years the inimitable Angela Lansbury reunites with acclaimed director Michael Blakemore to reprise her Tony award-winning Broadway performance as Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit.
