This year's crop of 'Best Choreography' Tony nominees, several of whom helped guide their show to a Best Musical nod, receive heartfelt shout-outs from cast members.

The Dance in Film nominations for the 2017 Chita Rivera Awards were announced today at a reception at The Lambs Club. In keeping with the mission of the Chita Rivera Awards, nominators considered films that opened during the 2016-2017 theater season.

At a press conference held May 30 in the lobby of the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 235 nominations for the 38th Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards, which recognize excellence in the performing arts in Toronto.

MATILDA is a great story with great characters, so it only makes sense that a musical would be its next iteration. Though the show closed on Broadway on January 1, 2017, the national tour still goes strong and now appears at the Dr. Philips Center.

Three-time Tony nominee and star of Broadway's GROUNDHOG DAY, Andy Karl, stopped by last night's LATE SHOW on CBS and proved he is a shining example of the adage, 'the show must go on.'

BWW has learned that three-time Tony Award nominee Andy Karl, who recently won the Olivier and Outer Critics Circle Awards for his performance in GROUNDHOG DAY, will make his late-night guest debut on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”

This year's Tony Awards nominations have just been announced by Jane Krakowski and Christopher Jackson and here they are, celebrating the best of the 2016-17 theatre season (and what a season it's been!) Nominations for the 2017 Chita Rivera Awards were announced today. In keeping with the mission of the Chita Rivera Awards, nominators considered shows and films that opened during the 2016-2017 season.
