PULP SHAKESPEARE, a "Best of Fest" winner at the 2011 Hollywood Fringe Fest, has been selected to be presented in the 2012 FringeNYC Encores Series. Out of the 187 productions in this year's FringeNYC Festival, PULP SHAKESPEARE is one of just fifteen chosen for an encore performance. Performances begin September 19 at the Soho Playhouse.

The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) commemorates its 20th anniversary in the 2012-2013 Season. Engelbert Humperdinck, who performed in the CCPAs first season, returns to kick-start the theaters 2012-2013 Season with concerts on August 18 and 19.

Michael Riedel reports in today's New York Post that Lincoln Center Theater 'wants the Beaumont for its next big production - a revival of THE KING AND I starring Kelli O'Hara.' BroadwayWorld.com first reported back in 2011 that the theatre was considering a Bartlett Sher helmed revival of the classic show. O'Hara is currently starring opposite Matthew Broderick in NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT.

The Columbus Symphony today announced the 2012 season lineup for its two annual summer outdoor concert series, the Nationwide Insurance Picnic with the Pops and Popcorn Pops. Grammy award winning singer-songwriter Melissa Manchester headlines at The Show at The Agua Caliente Resort and Casino on Saturday, February 25th at 8:00 pm. Although most widely known as a pop recording artist, Ms. Manchester is also an accomplished musical theatre artist having starred alongside Kelsey Grammer in the critically acclaimed Los Angeles production of Stephen Sondheim's masterpiece Sweeney Todd and in the world premiere of the musical Hats! in Chicago, for which she co-wrote several songs with Sarah Vaughn.
