The full cast of Disney's Aladdin, a new musical based on the Academy Award winning animated film, began rehearsals today in New York City. Aladdin will launch at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre (formerly the Canon) November 1, 2013 to January 5, 2014. Opening night there is November 21, 2013. Legendary recording artist Melissa Manchester has begun work on her 20th album, with an entirely new twist for the singer/songwriter; rather than working through a major record label as she has always done, Melissa is producing the album herself, and releasing via a fan funding effort. Casting has been announced for the return of the Orlando Fringe Festival hit musical DISENCHANTED!, playing at The Abbey in downtown Orlando September 19 through October 27.

After more than eight years, the historic Saenger Theatre will proudly reopen its doors this fall with a grand opening celebration, featuring a lineup of performances commemorating the city's love for live entertainment of all kinds. The initial announcement includes a variety of entertainment beginning on Sept. 28 and continuing through Jan. 10 of 2014. Additional performances will be announced as they are confirmed. The Saenger Theatre is currently undergoing a $52 million restoration led by the City of New Orleans, Canal Street Development Corporation, and ACE Theatrical Group.

Tickets for the Toronto premiere of Disney's Aladdin, a new musical based on the Academy Award winning animated film, will go on sale to the public today, June 10th at 9AM online, by phone and in person.
