The Brits have a long history of adapting their own great literature into spectacular plays and musicals. This season the talk of London is Great Expectations, a spectacular staging of Dicken's classic.
Great Expectations will now run at the Vaudeville Theatre until 30 March 2013, closing two months earlier than its original run date.

To celebrate the launch of The Dickens Legacy at the Gala Evening at London's Vaudeville Theatre, GREAT EXPECTATIONS will be screened live via satellite to more than 150 cinemas across the UK and Ireland, with a global cinema release including mainland Europe, Canada, USA, Asia and Australia.
Although it is Dickens' most popular novel and having previously had many incarnations, including as a film, a television drama and even a stage musical, this will be the first time there has ever been a production of GREAT EXPECTATIONS as a full-scale stage play in either the West End or on Broadway.
