Highly regarded for popularizing traditional Irish folk music across the world, "The Chieftains" bring their bagpipes, banjos and exciting musicality to Pacific Symphony Pops for an extension of this year's St. Patrick's Day celebrations! Co-founder Paddy Moloney and his band have won six Grammy Awards, released 58 albums and performed everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the Great Wall of China. By collaborating with contemporary musicians across multiple genres-Pavarotti, Van Morrison, Ziggy Marley and Elvis Costello, to name a few-The Chieftains have enjoyed more than 50 years at the top of the modern music charts. Their international fame stems from their ability to transcend musical boundaries to blend tradition with modern music. The music on their new album, "Voice of Ages," remains as fresh and relevant as when they first began.

The classic tale about a wooden boy with a nose for trouble gets remastered in the psychedelic rock musical Pinocchio, making its U.S. premiere at The New Victory Theater from tonight, March 13 - March 22, 2015. Winner of two 2014 Helpmann Awards for Best New Australian Work and Best Presentation for Children, Pinocchio comes to New York after a successful run at the Sydney Opera House.

Celebrate the holiday season with a new play co-written by Elizabeth Synnott and Ken Melamed, and weaved together with familiar holiday songs. Finding Christmas, stars Ms. Synnott with a special appearance by Teddy Coluca, and will be directed by Ken Melamed, with music direction by Barbara Ciannella, lights and sound design by Phil Sosinsky and set design by Kristin Kruger.
Baltimore Symphony Orchestra to Host 'O Say Can You See' Gala, 9/20

Signaling the start of the social season, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will hold its annual Gala Celebration on Saturday, September 20 at 8:30 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. This year's Gala concert will be led by BSO Music Director Marin Alsop. On the heels of the 200th birthday of the National Anthem, the evening will showcase American music and artists, beginning with a revival of Ferde Grofe's Ode to the Star-Spangled Banner, brought back to the stage for its first public performance in 80 years. The program also features celebrated blind American jazz pianist Marcus Roberts with the Marcus Roberts Trio performing Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue; Center Stage's visionary Artistic Director Kwame Kwei-Armah narrating Copland's Lincoln Portrait; and the Morgan State University Choir lending their voices to selections from the composer's Old American Songs.
