This summer New York City Ballet will return to Paris, France for the first time since 2008, for three weeks of performances at the The?a?tre du Cha?telet -- June 28 through July 16, 2016. The engagement will mark the 12th edition of Les Ete?s de la Danse, the annual summer dance festival that since 2005 has presented international dance companies for three weeks of performances in the French capital, and will also mark the tenth time that NYCB has performed in Paris since the Company's founding in 1948.

The Vail International Dance Festival announces its 2016 season (July 30- August 13) and celebrates the10th Anniversary of its Artistic Director, former New York City Ballet star Damian Woetzel. In celebration of his 10th year, the season will feature Isabella Boylston as Artist-in-Residence, Company-in-Residence BalletX, and other companies appearing will include Dance Theatre of Harlem, Dorrance Dance, and Paul Taylor's American Modern Dance. Under Woetzel's direction the Festival has presented over 45 new works, and 2016 will add at least ten world premieres to that list with new pieces by choreographers Jodie Gates, Rashaun Mitchell + Silas Riener, Matthew Neenan, Claudia Schreier, Shantala Shivalingappa, Jodi Melnick and more. This year's special UpClose performance (Aug. 3) will feature artists who regularly make Vail their creative summer home under Woetzel's direction, including Carla Körbes, Tiler Peck, Lil Buck, and Robert Fairchild.

Led by Artistic Director Robert Battle, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (#AileyKenCen) makes its annual Kennedy Center appearance with seven performances in the Kennedy Center Opera House, February 2-7, 2016. The Company returns to the Kennedy Center with two company premieres, three D.C. debuts, including Robert Battle's first world premiere since becoming artistic director in 2011, and a total of 11 works by a diverse range of choreographers. Alvin Ailey's American masterpiece Revelations will provide the finale for all five programs.

The West End transfer of GUYS & DOLLS opened at the Savoy Theatre on January 6, for a limited run through March 12. Second Thought Theatre kicks off its 2016 season with an area premiere about religious fundamentalism gone wrong. Blake Hackler makes his STT directorial debut in this play by Marius von Mayenburg, which opens with previews on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 and runs through February 6. All performances of Martyr will take place at Bryant Hall on the Kalita Humphreys Campus, 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd. Tickets to Martyr can be purchased online at 2TT.co.

On Friday, December 4th, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater unveiled Robert Battle's Awakening, his first world premiere since becoming Artistic Director. Kathryn Posin Dance Company is honored to have been invited by the 92nd Street Y to be the company that re-opens the fabled 900-seat Kaufman Concert Hall, for years one of New York's major dance venues, re-opening after a long closure.  Performances will take place February 11 & 12, 2016 on the stage that has seen many early performances by the companies of Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham, Paul Taylor, Alvin Ailey and, in 1967, the choreographic debut of Kathryn Posin.  The invitation is a result of the success of the KPCD's 2014 season at the 92nd Street Y's Buttenweiser Hall, 'Voices of Bulgaria and America,' which sold out and was live-streamed to 54 countries. 

Nathan Amzi will return to In The Heights for a limited two-week run, playing Piragua Guy from Monday 21 December 2015 to Sunday 3 January 2016. Nathan originated the role in the London production when it premiered at Southwark Playhouse in 2014. In The Heights recently extended its run at King's Cross Theatre for a second time, now booking for an additional 3 months until Sunday 10 April 2016.
