Lincoln Center has announced its Out of Doors 2017 free summer performances taking place from July 26-August 13.

Concerts including Angelique Kidjo's Remain in Light, Rumer with special guest Dionne Warwick, Nick Lowe's Quality Rock 'n' Roll Revue starring Los Straitjackets, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson's Suite for Ma Dukes, Natalia Lafourcade, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, International Contemporary Ensemble in a Tribute to Pauline Oliveros

Eliot Feld remains committed to creating a repertory of dances created especially for young dancers.  For the June 8-11 season of Kids Dance, Feld will premiere one new ballet.  There will also be one new dance by Laura Careless, and a second new work by a trio of young choreographers who are graduates of or seniors at Juilliard: Conner Bormann, Riley O'Flynn, Stephanie Terasaki. 

Eryc Taylor Dance (ETD), Eryc Taylor, Artistic Director, announced today ETD will present an original work created by ETD Outreach for dancers living in Lantern Community Services' supportive housing, to premiere during the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance Uptown Arts Stroll on Friday, June 2 with two performances at 4pm and 6pm, Harlem School of the Arts (645 St Nicholas Avenue New York, New York 10032).

Director Jim Strait's wit shines in Desert Rose's CLARK GABLE SLEPT HERE. The script needs pruning, but the dialogue flies most of the time, as do the audience's guffaws. The two women in the cast have the juicy roles, and make the most of them. The audience will have fun at this raunchy play.

     ROBERTO VILLANUEVA, Executive & Artistic Director and Founder of BalaSole Dance Company, presents the 18th NYC concert season of BalaSole in 'MOLTI,' a new program of solos in a broad range of dance styles, music choices and artistic voices, joined by special guest artist MIKI ORIHARA, former principal dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company, June 2 & 3, 8PM, at BAM Fisher (Fishman Space), 321 Ashland Place, Brooklyn, NY.  This program is part of a split bill concert with the Marie-Christine Giordano Dance.  BalaSole's program will be presented in the second half of the concert (at approximately 9 PM).

The Sarasota Ballet's Director Iain Webb announces the Company's 2017 - 2018 Season, with seven programs, including 12 ballets by some of the most celebrated and prestigious choreographers and composers of the ballet world.

The 2017 Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival 2017, the first programmed exclusively by new Director Pamela Tatge, is full of exciting programming featuring world premieres, commissions, site-specific work, international artists, live music, and Pillow-exclusive engagements, all to celebrate a momentous 85th Anniversary Season. Running June 21-August 27, Festival 2017 includes more than 200 free events, performances, exhibits, and talks, as well as many new offerings and initiatives launched under Tatge's leadership. In keeping with the Jacob's Pillow mission to engage and educate the community through the depth and breadth of dance, the genres and styles presented as part of the 85th Anniversary Season are far-reaching and inclusive, encompassing modern, contemporary, ballet, hip-hop, improvisation, flex, tap dance, step, Brazilian social dance, dance theater, traditional Native American, Bharatanatyam, musical theater dance, classical Cambodian, Latin ballroom, capoeira, and traditional Korean movement styles.

Robert Rauschenberg: Among Friends, a retrospective spanning the six-decade career of this defining figure of contemporary art, will be on view at The Museum of Modern Art from May 21 through September 17, 2017. Organized in collaboration with Tate Modern in London, this exhibition brings together over 250 works, integrating Rauschenberg's astonishing range of production across mediums including painting, sculpture, drawing, prints, photography, sound works, and performance footage. To focus attention on the importance of creative dialogue and collaboration in Rauschenberg's work, MoMA's presentation is structured as an “open monograph”—as other artists, dancers, musicians, and writers came into Rauschenberg's creative life, their work enters the exhibition, mapping the exchange of ideas. These figures, among the most influential in American postwar culture, include Trisha Brown, John Cage, Merce Cunningham, Sari Dienes, Morton Feldman, Jasper Johns, Billy Klüver, Paul Taylor, Jean Tinguely, David Tudor, Cy Twombly, Susan Weil, and many others.

Parsons Dance – under the Artistic Direction of David Parsons – will kick off its 2017 season, dedicated to the life and legacy of the company's great friend and dance advocate Alexander J. Dubé,at New York City's historic Joyce Theater from May 16 – May 28. 

On April 23rd Lin-Manuel Miranda and Andrew Lloyd Webber will participate in a live chat from London's Other Palace Theatre hosted by Artistic Director Paul Taylor Mills.

Jacob Jonas The Company--the 21st Century dance company which is quickly gaining acclaim and recognition for mixing contemporary ballet, breakdance and acrobatic movement--presents To the Sea: Dance Concerts on the Pier, a free two-night dance festival on the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30 at 6pm.
