2016 Sundance Film Festival Kicks Off Feature Film Lineup Today

Sundance Institute's feature film lineup for the 2016 Sundance Film Festival features the highly anticipated narratives, documentaries, episodic work and events in the Premieres, Documentary Premieres, Spotlight, Sundance Kids and Special Events sections. The Festival takes place today, January 21, through January 31 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Sundance and Ogden, Utah.

STARZ's THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE to Premiere in April

Starz Chief Executive Officer Chris Albrecht announced at today's STARZ' Television Critics Association (TCA) presentation at the Langham Huntington the new limited series, 'The Girlfriend Experience,' will premiere on STARZ on Sunday, April 10th at 8 pm ET/PT. All 13 half-hour episodes will also be made available simultaneously for STARZ subscribers on STARZ PLAY and STARZ ON DEMAND, in the U.S.

Sundance Institute today completed its feature film lineup for the 2016 Sundance Film Festival with the highly anticipated narratives, documentaries, episodic work and events in the Premieres, Documentary Premieres, Spotlight, Sundance Kids and Special Events sections.

HOUSE OF CARDS, MAD MEN Stars Round Out Cast of The New Group's BURIED CHILD

The New Group has announced full casting for the company's production of Sam Shepard's Buried Child. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production will feature Larry Pine (Casa Valentina), Rich Sommer ('Mad Men'), Paul Sparks ('House of Cards') and Nat Wolff (Paper Towns), and as previously announced, Taissa Farmiga, Ed Harris and Amy Madigan. Previews begin February 2 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Wednesday, February 17. A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through March 13 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).

Artistic Director Alex Kilgore hosted a launch party and first annual silent auction to benefit Accabonac House yesterday, July 21, 2015 at Ashawagh Hall (780 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton, NY). The silent auction featured art by Gibby Haynes, Jim Tozzi, and Dan Witz, with music by Invisible Familiars, and a special performance of Happy Hour by Monica Bill Barnes Company. Accabonac House Retreat to Launch This Summer with Pulitzer Winner Annie Baker

Artistic Director Alex Kilgore announced today that Pulitzer Prize Winning Playwright Annie Baker was awarded the first residency of Accabonac House, a year-round interdisciplinary artists retreat dedicated to the memory of Lisa de Kooning, who grew up in the house, located in the heart of Historic Spring/East Hampton. Her father, the Abstract Expressionist Willem de Kooning, traded a painting in 1961 for the property, which served as his first studio in Springs as well as a home for his only child, Lisa and her mother the illustrator, Joan Ward.

AOL Sets Season Two Premiere Date for PARK BENCH WITH STEVE BUSCEMI

AOL announced today that the Emmy-nominated original series 'Park Bench with Steve Buscemi' will return for a second season on Thursday, June 18th. Created by and starring Steve Buscemi, 'Park Bench' features Steve and his famous friends sitting down to discuss the special people, places, and spirit that embody to the true essence of New York City.

CATF's Managing Director James McNeel to Depart

The Contemporary American Theater Festival at Shepherd University (CATF) has announced that its Managing Director, James McNeel, has accepted the same position at City Theatre Company in Pittsburgh, PA. McNeel, who has been in this role for the last four seasons, will officially close his tenure on December 12th. The Theater Festival is currently in the process of hiring his replacement.
