The New York Musical Theatre Festival, Van Hill Entertainment and Time Life Records presenedt the pre-release and listening party for the upcoming cast album of Off-Broadway's ROOMS a rock romance, on Wednesday, October 14 at 8:30pm. The party was be at Sweet Carolines (322 West 45th Street) and showcased live performances from the musical's stars, Leslie Kritzer and Doug Kreeger.

ROOMS: A ROCK ROMANCE, which ran Off-Broadway earlier this year, will hold a pre-release listening party for their cast album on Wednesday, October 14th. ROOMS ran at the New World Stages and features a score by and a book by Paul Scott Goodman and Miriam Gordon. The Off-Broadway run starred Broadway's Leslie Kritzer and Doug Kreeger.

The first song I thought of after seeing this thoroughly enjoyable evening of theater was the following: 'Wonder of Wonders, Musical of Musicals'. With apologies to Fiddler on the Roof, theater aficionados must visit the little theater that could in Alexandria, VA and play the game Name that Show? as you listen to new lyrics applied to some of the wondrous melodies you've ever heard.

The first round of auditions for NYMF's Next Broadway sensation took place last Sunday night at New World Stages, with the live audience and the panel of judges, Bailey Hanks, Orfeh (Legally Blonde) and Marc Kudisch (9 to 5) selecting five finalists with a sixth finalist chosen by online voters who were able to see all of the performance at Theatermania.com thanks to DFD TV.
