Renowned choreographer and director, Jeffrey Hornaday ('Flashdance,' 'A Chorus Line', 'Shout'), will helm 'High School Musical East Meets West,' the fourth movie in the franchise that is a cultural sensation around the world. The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, Disney Channels Worldwide.

Singer, songwriter and pianist, Liz Kennedy will play her first San Francisco performance with the Clean White Shirt Band at The Rrazz Room at The Hotel Nikko, 222 Mason, San Francisco CA. on Sunday, July 26. The induction and awards dinner is scheduled for Thursday, June 18 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Special award honorees will be announced at a later date.

A film adaptation of Cy Coleman's CITY OF ANGELS is headed to the screen, to be helmed by Director Barry Levinson ('Wag the Dog', 'Good Morning, Vietnam'). The picture is one of many new projects to be produced by new company Unique Features, headed by former New Line Films principals Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne, Variety reported today.

North/South Consonance, Inc. will present its 9th concert of its 29th consecutive season on Tuesday, June 16 at 8 PM at the auditorium of Christ & St. Stephen's Church (120 West 69th St) in Manhattan. Admission is free.

The Rock Tenor makes its debut this summer beginning July 8, starring vocalist Rob Evan (Broadway performer and lead singer for the multi-platinum band The Trans-Siberian Orchestra), who conceived the show with director Vincent Marini (former Producing Artistic Director of New Jersey's Lenape Regional Performing Arts Center) officially opens July 15 and closes August 23. The Rock Tenor fuses rock and roll anthems, Broadway classics, opera favorites, country rhythms and classical melodies in a unique performance that showcases these familiar works in a whole new light. Chance and Chemistry: A Centennial Celebration of Frank Loesser, a concert to benefit The Actors Fund will take place at a Broadway theatre to be announced on Monday, October 26, 2009. The event will be co-chaired by Jo Sullivan Loesser and Sir Paul McCartney.

Celebrated pianist, songwriter, arranger, producer, Crescent City's own Allen Toussaint will be the headliner for Lincoln Center Out of Doors' 'Roots of American Music' concert in Damrosch Park on Saturday, August 22.
