Olivia Colman recently spoke to the Daily Mail about being 'baffled' to land two singing film roles -- the first in Rufus Norris's big screen version of LONDON ROAD, and the second is in Yorgos Lanthimos's surrealist project LOBSTER.

According to Official London Theatre, the Young Vic has announced the cast for Katie Mitchell's production of Anton Chekhov's THE CHERRY ORCHARD, set to run October 10 - November 29, 2014. Dominic Rowan will star as 'Alexander Lopakhin' opposite Kate Duchene in the play adapted by Olivier winner Simon Stephens (A Doll's House, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time). Also starring are Angus Wright, Gawn Grainger and Paul Hilton.

The Globe on Screen season will launch globally from today, September 26 and will include All's Well That Ends Well, with screenings to commence in the US from October 11, Much Ado About Nothing, from October 23, and Doctor Faustus, from November 8. American actor Zach Braff (Scrubs and Garden State) just made his UK stage acting debut in a new comedy, All New People. Arthur Darvill, who is best known for his role as the Doctor's current companion Rory in BBC's Doctor Who, will play Mephistopheles in Shakespeare's Globe's first production of Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus. Paul Hilton, who was recently seen in the BBC drama Silk, will play the title role of the scholar who makes a pact with the devil in exchange for knowledge. The production will run from 18 June to 2 October and is directed by Matthew Dunster and designed by Paul Wills. They will both collaborate with Puppetry Director Steve Tiplady, former Artistic Director of Little Angel Theatre Company, to transform the Globe in to an arena of wild spectacle with larger than life puppets and illusion. Huge flying dragons and horned stilt walkers will help to bring this dark fantastical world to life.

Casting has been announced for Polar Bears; David Leveaux has been pronounced director of Simon Gray's The Late Middle Class; von Kleist's The Prince of Homburg has been added to the season; new events in celebration of Sondheim's 80th birthday - in addition to the production of Passion - have been revealed; and Michael Grandage has been confirmed to direct Derek Jacobi in King Lear.
