Following her opening run at Broadway's newest venue, 54 BELOW presents an encore week of Patti LuPone's cabaret act - FAR AWAY PLACES which will play seven additional performances from tonight, June 19 through Saturday, June 23. There will be a special late night performance on Thursday, June 21 at 11:00 p.m. This two-time Tony Award winner, backed by a five-piece band, has thrilled 54 BELOW audiences for the past two weeks.

Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Neal Street Productions and Kevin McCormick today announced that their production of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will open at the London Palladium in June 2013 after a preview period. The new stage musical will be directed by Sam Mendes, with a book by David Greig and new songs from Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

The second annual 'Night of A Thousand Judys' - the Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center - takes place at Playwrights Horizons tonight, June 18.

If It Only Even Runs A Minute 10 is the tenth edition of this series of rare songs, behind-the-scenes tales, and inspiring photos from Broadway musicals that may not have been fully appreciated the first time around. The show features performances and stories from original cast members and writers of several of the featured shows. This is an essential concert for musical theatre nerds.

The stars came out to see two-time Tony Award-winner Patti LuPone perform at the opening week of 54 BELOW. Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston has announced major principal casting and creative team members for its 44th consecutive summer season, including Lorenzo Lamas, Anita Gillette, Rick Hilsabeck and Sarah Pfisterer.

As BroadwayWorld reported earlier this week, David Mamet's 1984 play Glengarry Glen Ross is heading back to Broadway, this time starring Al Pacino as leading man, 'Shelly "The Machine" Levene.' Pacino previously played 'Richard Roma' the the 1992 film adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Daniel Sullivan is attached to direct the project. The New York Times has confirmed that the show will begin previews on October 16 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater. Opening night is set for November 11.
