Broadway legend Andrea McArdle has two new albums set for release on Broadway Records. The first, '70s and Sunny: Live At 54 BELOW', was recorded during her triumphant debut at the new Broadway hotspot 54 BELOW and will be released on December 11, 2012 and is available for pre-order HERE. The second recording, 'Calendar Dream', is an exciting new project that teams Andrea up with a stellar array of Broadway's most awarded writers to journey though a year of a woman's life.

After receiving more than 3,000 nominations once BroadwayWorld.com announced it's first-ever New York Cabaret Awards in early October, BWW is now pleased to announce it's final nominations ballot in 20 categories. On April 15, 2013, Virginia's renowned Signature Theatre will honor the multiple Tony Award®-winning Broadway producer and director Harold "Hal" Prince with the company's fourth Stephen Sondheim Award. The award, established in 2009 in honor of America's most influential musical theatre writer and composer, will be presented at a black-tie Gala Benefit at the Embassy of Italy. The Sondheim Award Gala will benefit Signature Theatre's artistic, education, and community programs.

The first 11 o'clock number of the evening came at around 8:05, when Marc Kudisch opened Town Hall's The Best of Broadway By The Year concert by caressing Lerner and Loewe's “If Ever I Would Leave You” with his rich, dramatic baritone and superlative musical acting skills.  It was a very appropriate opening since Kudisch, a regular participant throughout the concert series' twelve-season history, very much represents what these evenings have evolved into; a look at what Broadway could be in a commercially different environment.

59E59 Theaters has announced the Prospect Theater Company production of WORKING, from the book by Studs Terkel, adapted by Stephen Schwartz and Nina Faso, with additional contributions by Gordon Greenberg. Songs are by Craig Carnelia, Micki Grant, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mary Rodgers & Susan Birkenhead, Stephen Schwartz, and James Taylor. Directed by Gordon Greenberg, WORKING begins performances on Saturday, December 1 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 30.

Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays star-studded benefit concert will be held on Saturday, December 8th at New York City's Beacon Theatre to help raise awareness about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth homelessness and support the True Colors Fund's Forty to None Project.

The Madison Theatre at Molloy College of Rockville Centre, New York (Angelo Fraboni, Artistic Director), will present a benefit reading of Long Island Express Plays, written by Eugene Pack, on Sunday, October 28, at 3pm. The reading will star Noah Fleiss ("Fringe"), Helen Hanft (Moonstruck), Carol Kane ("Cheers," Princess Bride, "Taxi"), Natasha Lyonne (American Pie, "Weeds"), and Dayle Reyfel (Drama Desk Winner for Celebrity Autobiography).

If I were to die very soon, there's no doubt that I would go to heaven, because Rachel York and the all-singing/all-dancing company of Anything Goes took me and a couple of thousand other people up to the heavenly gates with their spectacular opening night performance of "Blow, Gabriel, Blow."

DRG Records announces the release of the cast recording of FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING, The UN-Original Cast Album, produced by Hugh Fordin, and available in stores and online on November 27, 2012. Featured on the album are cast members Natalie Charlé Ellis, Scott Richard Foster, Jenny Lee Stern and Marcus Stevens, with David Caldwell on piano.

New York City Center will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of its Tony Award-winning Encores! series on November 12 with a Gala Benefit starring Raul Esparza and Kelli O'Hara, and featuring performers who have starred in Encores! productions over the past two decades.

A group of artists from various theaters and schools have joined forces to create Bay Ridge Voice, a new vocal studio in the heart of Brooklyn, opening its doors with a concert on Saturday, October 27 at 8:00 p.m. at the Bay Ridge Jewish Center.

The UNLV Performing Arts Center welcomes The Acting Company in a very special performance of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men at 7 p.m. tonight, October 21 in Artemus Ham Concert Hall. Founded by the legendary John Houseman and Margot Harley, The Acting Company has won an Obie, L.A. Drama Critics Circle Awards and a Tony.
