Get ready to "cut loose" with this Pittsburgh CLO premiere! When teenager Ren McCormack moves from the big city to middle-of-nowhere Bomont, where even dancing is against the law, he's in for a real case of culture shock. After falling for the preacher's daughter, Ren really shakes things up. When he and fellow rebellious teenagers defy authority and dare to dance, the result is a fast-paced rock 'n roll musical featuring the Billboard-topping hits "Footloose," "Let's Hear It for the Boy," "Almost Paradise" and "Holding Out for a Hero."

Pioneer Theatre Company to Present SWEET CHARITY, 5/9-24

Charity Hope Valentine is a dancehall girl who dreams of love and believes the man of her dreams is just around the corner. A great score, including the songs 'Hey Big Spender!' and 'If My Friends Could See Me Now,' incredible dancing - originally choreographed by Broadway legend Bob Fosse - and one of the most memorable heroines of the past sixty years combine to make Sweet Charity a must-see show. Never before produced at PTC, Sweet Charity is a razzle-dazzle closer for the 2013-14 season.

Grammy Winning Pianist John McDaniel Talks S.T.A.G.E. Goes to the MOVIES

On Saturday May 10 S.T.A.G.E. (Southland Theatrical Artists Goodwill Event) will present its annual show at the Saban Theatre on Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills, this year entitled S.T.A.G.E. Goes to the MOVIES, directed by David Galligan with musical direction from the incomparable John McDaniel. Grammy, Tony and Emmy winning composer, musician McDaniel took time out of his busy rehearsal schedule to chat about the evening.

Nearly six decades into her career, Academy Award-winning singer and actress Shirley Jones makes her Cafe Carlyle debut with a two-week run of An Evening with Shirley Jones, continuing through March 15. Actor-composer Ron Abel (Happily Divorced, I Love Lucy's 50th Anniversary Special) accompanies her for performances March 11-15. She'll perform the songs of Rogers, Hammerstein and Hart. Her son, Patrick Cassidy, visited her at last night's show and you can check out photos below!

Ensemble Theatre Company of Santa Barbara announces its 2013-14 Season in its new home, the New Vic, beginning with the hit Broadway musical A Little Night Music, inspired by the Ingmar Bergman film 'Smiles of a Summer Night. Directed by Ensemble Executive Artistic Director Jonathan Fox, A Little Night Music features one of Stephen Sondheim's best-known songs, 'Send in the Clowns.' A star-studded cast featuring Piper Laurie, Stephanie Zimbalist and Patrick Cassidy will christen the stage at the New Vic.

Los Angeles Broadway World TV Correspondents Michael Sterling and Anthony 'A.J.' Hernandez were on hand to not only talk to tour stars Caroline Bowman (Eva Peron), Josh Young (Che) and Sean MacLaughlin (Juan Peron) and Evita Producer Hal Luftig, but such Hollywood celebrities as Shirley Jones, Marty Ingels, Patrick Cassidy, Sam Harris, Greg Louganis and partner Johnny Chaillot, Disney's G. Hannelius (Dog with a Blog), Hal Sparks (Disney XD's Lab Rats) among others. In addition to Hal Luftig, Evita Producers include Scott Sanders, Troika Entertainment & The Nederlander Organization. The production officially opened at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood October 24 and will continue its limited run there through November 10, 2013. Check out the video below!

Photo Flash: EVITA Celebrates Opening at the Pantages

EVITA will return to L.A. by way of Hollywood Pantages for a limited three week engagement, now through November 10, 2013. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford, this national touring production comes directly from the first new Broadway revival of the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical, since it debuted on Broadway over 30 years ago. Patrick Cassidy to Direct Point Park Conservatory Theatre's OKLAHOMA!, Begin. 10/18

Oklahoma! opens Friday, Oct. 18, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 27, with a preview on Thursday, Oct. 17, in the Rockwell Theatre at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Performances will be at 8 p.m., Thursdays through Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets range from $18 to $20 and can be purchased by calling the Pittsburgh Playhouse box office at 412.392.8000, or at www.pittsburghplayhouse.com.
