To celebrate the success of this nearly ubiquitous device, and since so many of us equate summer fun with listening to some great tunes, it seemed like the perfect time to bring back BroadwayWorld.com's popular summer feature in the theatre world with the simple question of 'What's on your iPod?' Looking through the responses, what's certain is that the taste of those on and around the Great White Way is as varied (if not more so!) than the shows on Broadway.

Paige Davis to Take Part in OPERATION BACKPACK, 7/28

On July 28, Trading Spaces star and Broadway veteran Paige Davis and Volunteers of America (VOA) Greater New York volunteers will help sort and stuff backpacks and school suppliesat Operation Backpack's 'Sort Day'. VOA's Operation Backpack drive aims to help 9,000 children in New York area shelters, so they can begin the school year with confidence, feeling more like their housed classmates. Children and parents who benefitted from the program will be on hand and Department of Homeless Services Commissioner Seth Diamond will also be available.

Ars Nova has announced a by-invitation-only reading of Max Vernon's new musical, Wired, tomorrow July 28 at 2pm at Ars Nova. Directed by Mike Donahue, and musical directed by Sonny Paladino, the cast features Spider-Man's Patrick Page and Wicked's Teal Wicks. The reading will also include Meggie Cansler, Paige Davis, Matt Doyle, Rich Dreher, Asmeret Ghebremichael, Nathan Graham, Brian Tyree Henry and Bobby List.

Trading Spaces star Paige Davis, Volunteers of America (VOA) Greater New York volunteers, Girl Scouts and students filled donated backpacks to kick off VOA's Operation Backpack campaign, which begins June 27th. The drive collects brand-new, grade-specific backpacks and school supplies for children in New York area shelters, so they can begin the school year with confidence, feeling more like their housed classmates. Parents of children who benefitted from the program were on hand, along with BroadwayWorld who was there to capture the heartfelt event.

Comedy Club TC l4 ' (163 West 46th Street / Between 6th & 7th Avenues) every Thursday night at 11:00pm. Broadway Sessions is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week, and features musical director/composer Will Van Dyke (The Addams Family) on piano. In addition after the show we open the microphone up to anyone who wants to sing. Open mic from 12:00-2am.

Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center proudly present the premiere of Jennifer Leigh Warren in "DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER: the songs of Dame Shirley Bassey," which will make its Los Angeles debut on June 16 at The Renberg Theatre, 1125 N.
