La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club will present the The Sun Up Close: Community Chat & Telescope Viewing in advance of the World Premiere of Birth + Carnage.
The Trojan War is the stuff of countless myths and later retellings. But probably none of them could make you get physically lost in the labyrinthine worlds of Hecuba's Troy and Agamemnon's Mycenae. For that, you would need to head to One Cartridge Place, where the renowned immersive theatre company Punchdrunk has opened the gates to The Burnt City, marking their long-awaited return to London after an eight-year hiatus.
Trixie Whitley has revealed the video for 'Touch,' the first part of a visual trilogy leading to the release of her third studio album, LACUNA, due May 29, 2019. The track premiered last month upon the announcement of her new album and is available for streaming now at all DSPs. LACUNA was created in conjunction with Run The Jewels producer Little Shalimar, and sees Whitley pulling classic soul into a future world thru a fascinating, heady blend of hi-fi electronic sounds, hypnotic rhythms, and her trademark vocals with gut punching lyrics.
