The Broadway community mourns the loss of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lanford Wilson who passed away on March 24th at age 73.

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) concludes its 2010-2011 Studio Theatre series with the remarkable and clever In The Next Room or the vibrator play by Sarah Ruhl.

Considered one of the founders of the Off-Off-Broadway theater movement, Wilson received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1980, was elected in 2001 to the Theater Hall of Fame, and in 2004 was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

There are two productions remaining in Geva Theatre Center's 2010-2011 Season: Radio Golf, the finale of "August Wilson's American Century," and a historic production of The Music Man featuring the biggest cast ever assembled in the Geva Mainstage.

Paul Robinette in NBC's 'Law & Order' and bounty hunter Jubal Early in 'Firefly' will play the central role of Harmond Wilks in its forthcoming production of August Wilson's Radio Golf in the Mainstage March 22 - April 17.

In its ninth year, Modfest is Vassar College's exploration of the arts of the 20th and 21st centuries. This year's program will celebrate the visual arts, dance, drama, film, literature, poetry, and music in a series of events that will take place across the Vassar campus from January 20 through February 5, 2011.

It's just been announced that Wilson Jermaine Heredia, who famously created the drag queen role of Angel in the 1996 Off Broadway production of RENT before winning a Tony for the same role on Broadway will join LA CAGE AUX FOLLES on Broadway on February 15th. Heredia will replace Robin de Jesus in the part, and joins the production at the same time as new stars Harvey Fierstein and Jeffrey Tambor.
