Performances are free of charge, and will take place on the Boston Common, near the Parkman Bandstand.
Ovation, America's only arts network, has announced the premiere date for the third and final season of X Company. Inspired by the true story of Camp X, a top-secret Allied spy training facility in Lake Ontario, the series stars Evelyne Brochu (Orphan Black), Jack Laskey (Endeavour), Hugh Dillon (Flashpoint, Continuum), Warren Brown (Luther, Strike Back), Connor Price (Being Human), Torben Liebrecht (Homeland) and Lara Jean Chorostecki (Designated Survivor, Hannibal). TEVYE SERVED RAW opened Tuesday, July 17th. Just two nights earlier, the NYT/Folksbiene opened the first American production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF in Yiddish. Two of the stars of that highly successful production were in attendance at the opening of TEVYE SERVED RAW. Jackie Hoffman, who plays Yente in FIDDLER, and Daniel Kahn, who plays Perchik, were the first to jump to their feet at the evening's standing ovation.
