2013 Overture Awards Finals Competition Will Take Place 3/2 at Aronoff Center

The Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) will present the 2013 Overture Awards Scholarship Competition - the largest locally-run arts scholarship competition in the country. The Overture Awards annually provides a $3,000 scholarship to six area high school students for education and training expenses, with 18 finalists each winning a $500 scholarship.

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Now thru 12/30

The spirit of the season arrives at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park as U.S. Bank presents Charles Dickens' classic A CHRISTMAS CAROL. A popular favorite with Tri-state families now in its 22nd year, A CHRISTMAS CAROL runs in the Playhouse's Robert S. Marx Theatre from tonight, Nov. 29 through Dec. 30.

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati Presents GOOD PEOPLE, 9/5-23

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati opens its 2012-2013 season with the regional premiere of Good People, by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire (Rabbit Hole, Shrek the Musical), playing September 5-23, 2012. Directed by D. Lynn Meyers. Production Sponsor is The Otto M. Budig Family Foundation.

XANADU Opens at the Carnegie, 8/11 - 8/26

The Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center (The Carnegie) begins its 2012-13 Theatre Series with the funny and feel-good roller skating Broadway musical XANADU. Based (often satirically) on the 1980 Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly film of the same title, XANADU features pop hits including "Evil Woman," "I'm Alive" and "Magic." The production receives its local professional premiere in The Carnegie's Otto M. Budig Theatre weekends August 11 - 26, 2012, under the direction of lauded former Cincinnatian Alan Patrick Kenny. Cincinnati Shakespeare Company Announces 2012-2013 Season

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company announced its 2012-2013 season schedule. All productions will feature Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's Resident Company of Artists. CSC's 19th season of bringing the classics to life in Cincinnati is generously sponsored by The Otto M. Budig Family Foundation. CCM Musical Theatre Presents INTO THE WOODS, 2/23-3/4

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Patricia A. Corbett Distinguished Chair of Musical Theatre, the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Mainstage Musical Theatre Series continues its 2011-12 season with Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. The award-winning pairing of new and existing fairy-tales with Sondheim's witty music and lyrics runs Feb. 23-26 and March 1-4 in Patricia Corbett Theater in CCM Village.
