The Clown School (TCS) in Los Angeles has been offering classes that explore various types of clown techniques since its 2007 inception by renowned clown instructors David Bridel and Orlando Pabotoy. The Clown School's cumulative Level 1 (Beginner), Level 2 (Intermediate) and Level 3 (Advanced) class curriculum is taught throughout the year by Bridel and student-turned-instructors Zach Steel and Mike Funt. Mr. Funt has also been working with the school on developing a children's clown class; he plans to begin teaching The Clown School for Kids in 2015. The William & Eva Fox Foundation and Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, have announced the eighth round of Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowship recipients. The program is designed to support actors' professional and artistic development, to enrich relationships between actors and nonprofit theatres and to ensure continued professional commitment to live theatre. Funded by the Fox Foundation and administered by TCG, the fellowship is one of only a few programs of its kind for actors in the country.
Soulographie: Our Genocides, a cycle of 17 plays ranging in length from 20 minutes to two hours, all by Erik Ehn, each theatrically exploring the causes, effects, and various forms that genocide has taken in the 20th century, will be presented by La MaMa at the Ellen Stewart Theater, tonight, November 11-18. Over 80 theater artists from across the globe will participate.

The Juilliard School welcomes the inaugural class of its new Master of Fine Arts in Drama program this Fall 2012. Eight graduate actors have been accepted into the highly selective program and will begin classes this September. Juilliard's M.F.A. in Drama is a four-year conservatory program in actor training providing the tools necessary to meet the demands of an ever-evolving performing arts career and preparing young artists to become versatile and dynamic leaders in their field. The M.F.A program joins Juilliard's four-year B.F.A. program, headed by James Houghton, the Richard Rodgers Director of the Drama Division.
