GLEE's Naya Rivera Hosts GLAAD Awards, Kim Cattrall et al. Honored

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) announced award recipients in 3 of this year's 32 media categories at the 22nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards presented nationally by RÖKK Vodka and locally by Southwest Airlines at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis on Saturday night. Additional awards were presented in New York on March 19, and in Los Angeles on April 10. A full list of award recipients from the 22nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards is below. Glee's Naya Rivera hosted the event for the capacity crowd with presenters including Mario Lopez, Sara Ramirez, and Louis Van Amstel. GLAAD Media Award nominees were published, released or broadcast between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010. 'The media has a huge role in growing acceptance and understanding of gay and transgender people,' said GLAAD President Jarrett Barrios. 'As Americans see images and stories like this year's award recipients, more and more are supporting full equality.' Discovery Channel To Present 'Killing Bin Laden' Special 5/15

On Sunday, May 15th at 10PM ET/PT, Discovery Channel will premiere KILLING BIN LADEN, a one-hour special that provides a comprehensive overview of the bin Laden operation - from the time the crucial intelligence was gathered in 2010, through the burial at sea. First introduced to locals here in Southern California back in 2008 during its pre-Broadway tryouts at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, the 1st National Tour of the retooled 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL has arrived in Orange County for a week of shows ending May 10 at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Zippier and more compact than its previous stage incarnations, the show--featuring original songs written by Dolly Parton--takes the original hit 1980 film comedy and repurposes it into a cute, charming musical about the struggles of women in a male-dominated workplace.

With Shania Twain,' which premiered Sunday, May 8 at 11 p.m. ET/PT, debuted as the highest rated premiere to date outside of launch weekend for the network and posted triple digit growth across all key demos versus year ago Discovery Health numbers (.80 W25-54, 839,000 total viewers; +321% W25-54, +230% P2+ vs. YAGO). The series ranked third in its timeslot in the key female demo among 88 ad-supported cable networks. 'Why Not? with Shania Twain' moves to its regular time period Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT this week (May 15).

On May 2 at 8:00 PM, The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street), led by Marvin Leffler (President) and Lawrence Zucker (Executive Director), will celebrate its 90th Anniversary with 'Town Hall at 90,' a benefit concert paying tribute to the rich cultural history of the institution from 1921 to the present day. The concert will star Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, Tony Award nominee Liz Callaway, Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk, Theatre world and Emmy Award winner Tovah Feldshuh, legendary Jazz guitarist and banjoist Bucky Pizzarelli and Tony Award nominee Emily Skinner. Dancers/choreographers Jeffry Denman ('White Christmas,' 'Yank!') and Noah Racey ('Curtains') will dance together. The performance list is still in formation as of this writing and more will be announced. Scott Siegel, creator/writer and host of The Town Hall's acclaimed Broadway By The Year series, has written and will host the evening. All proceeds will benefit The Town Hall's Educational Outreach program.
