Pearl (www.PearlTheShow.com), a new American-Chinese dance-theatre spectacular, inspired by the life of Pearl S. Buck, the first woman to win both the Nobel and the Pulitzer Prizes, will have its world premiere at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for 4 performances only, August 27-30th. The story, focusing on the substantial influence Pearl had on both Chinese and Western cultures, will be brought to life through new choreography by Daniel Ezralow (Ezralow Dance Company, MOMIX, Sochi Olympics Opening Ceremony, Academy Awards), a new score composed by Jun Miyake (collaborations with Robert Wilson, Pina Bausch, David Byrne and Oliver Stone) dazzling visuals and a company of 30 American and Chinese dancers.

BroadwayWorld.com has learned that the Academy Award, Golden Globe & BAFTA winning actor Forest Whitaker will make his highly anticipated Broadway debut in HUGHIE, by four- time Pulitzer Prize winner and Nobel Prize Laureate Eugene O'Neill. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award winner winner Michael Grandage, HUGHIE will play a strictly limited engagement in the spring of 2016 on Broadway at a Shubert Theatre to be announced.

While prolific movie star, Kevin Costner, commands the microphone and his band, Modern West, accompanies with Americana roots and rock instrumentals, the imagery is nicely atmospheric. The all-American boy persona Costner has perfected effectively complements the whole enterprise. Costner started touring musically in an endeavor to connect with his fans on a more personal level, sharing his love of music and lighting up the stage with a band of musicians that balances perfectly with his laid back, intimate, rock 'n' roll musings.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director), in association with Ryan Murphy, just announced that Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon will return to Broadway as "James Tyrone, Jr." in Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey Into Night, joining the previously announced Academy and Emmy Award winner Jessica Lange as "Mary Tyrone," Golden Globe winner and Tony Award nominee Gabriel Byrne as "James Tyrone," and Tony Award winner John Gallagher Jr. as "Edmund Tyrone."
