Registration runs through November 2 and those who submit materials by Friday, October 5 will receive a $20 discount off the standard $75 application fee. Composer RYAN SCOTT OLIVER (35mm, Mrs. Sharp) will offer a talkback for audiences following the Saturday September 8 matinee performance of the multi-composer musical Hot Mess in Manhattan currently running at American Theatre of Actors. Oliver is the composer of the show's opening number, "The Mess."
For generations, musical theatre writers have come to New York City to change the world. 'Once Upon A Time In New York City' is about the people who have changed THEM. This concert will feature musical theatre writers-ages 19 to 90-who were born everywhere from Kansas City to San Francisco to Montreal, established and emerging, each writing a song about someone who has changed their idea of New York City. The concert will benefit The Actors Fund.
