The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center celebrated the 16th annual Monte Cristo Awardceremony with a presentation of the honor to award-winning stage and film director, playwright, and actor George C. Wolfe last night at the Edison Ballroom. The O'Neill annually bestows its Monte Cristo Award on a prominent theater artist whose lifetime work has had an extraordinary impact on American theater. The gala event supports the Center's commitment to developing new work and new artists for the stage.

2016 Ice Factory Festival to Present Seven New Works at New Ohio Theatre

Artistic Director Robert Lyons presents the 23rd annual OBIE Award-winning Ice Factory Festival. Ice Factory 2016 takes place at New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City. Ice Factory 2016 will present seven new works over seven weeks, running from June 29 - August 13, 2016.

Theatre for a New Audience's A DOLL'S HOUSE Begins Previews Tonight

Previews are underway for Theatre for a New Audience's production of August Strindberg's THE FATHER in a new version by Scottish author David Greig commissioned by Theatre for a New Audience and performances start tonight, May 10, at 7:30pm for A DOLL'S HOUSE in an adaptation by Thornton Wilder not seen in New York since its Broadway premiere in 1937.

Washington Concert Opera Sets 30th Anniversary Season

Washington Concert Opera is proud to announce its 2016-2017 lineup, which marks the organization's 30th anniversary. WCO begins its season with a special 30th Anniversary Concert on September 18th, followed by a performance of Massenet's Herodiade on on November 20th and ending on March 5th, 2017 with Beethoven's Leonore. All performances will start at 6pm and will take place at Lisner Auditorium on the campus of George Washington University.

ABC to Air FINDING NEMO; Give Special Look at FINDING DORY 5/25

Disney•Pixar's “Finding Nemo” winner of the 2003 Oscar® for Best Animated Feature airs WEDNESDAY, MAY 25 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT) on the ABC Television Network. In anticipation of “Finding Dory” which swims into theaters June 17, 2016 an exclusive special look of the new film will be part of this televised broadcast of “Finding Nemo.”

THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION Set for Theatre Royal Glasgow

Following its hugely successful launch last year, Bill Kenwright's new production of The Shawshank Redemption embarks on a national tour for 2016 coming to the Theatre Royal Glasgow from Monday 21 until Saturday 26 November.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center welcomes Courtney B. Vance, Savion Glover, Joe Mantello and David Marshall Grant for the Monte Cristo Award program celebration for award-winning stage and film director, playwright, and actor George C. Wolfe. Vance - an O'Neill alumnus who also starred with Tom Hanks in LUCKY GUY on Broadway under the direction of Wolfe - will present the Award.

San Diego High School Selected to Present the Regional World Premiere of PROSPECT HIGH: BROOKLYN

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) and Education at Roundabout (Jennifer DiBella, Director of Education) are pleased to announce that San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts in San Diego, CA will present the regional premiere of PROSPECT HIGH: BROOKLYN. Written by Daniel Robert Sullivan and a team of New York City teenagers, Prospect High: Brooklyn was developed in partnership with Education at Roundabout and the Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowships. The play will have its world premiere in 23 high school productions across the country, September 2015 - May 2016. The high school will present the play at 2:30 PM on May 19th, and at 7:00 PM on May 19th, 20th, and 21st at the Ole Kittleson Little Theatre, located at 2425 Dusk Dr., San Diego, CA 92139.
