Apollinaire Theatre Company presents CYRANO de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand FREE Theatre in the Park in English and Spanish!

Vassar College's Powerhouse Theatre has announced that their upcoming concert production of ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER, scheduled to run from July 29 to August 1, is completely sold out. However, the Theatre advises checking the box office's website in case additional tickets are released.

STAGES ST. LOUIS continues its tradition of presenting Broadway-quality children's theatre in its sixth year of the STAGES Theatre for Young Audiences Program with Disney's THE ARISTOCATS. The musical adapted from the hit Disney film will run from August 4th through 15th at The Robert G. Reim Theatre in Kirkwood.

The New York Times reports today that Brian d'Arcy James and Anika Noni Rose will lead the 'On A Clear Day You Can See Forever' workshop, directed by Michael Mayer, at the Powerhouse Theater as part of this year's New York Stage and Film series at Vassar College.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) is pleased to announce thecasting for the company's 15 th annual free Shakespeare on the Common production, WilliamShakespeare's immortal drama, Othello, directed by CSC Founding Artistic Director Steven Maler. Othello will be performed at the Parkman Bandstand on Boston Common from July 28 to August 15.

Last night, July 25, the cast of American Idiot took the stage at Joe's Pub to benefit Broadway Impact and their continued efforts to fight for marriage equality. The first sold out show featured the cast of Next to Normal and on August 23rd the cast of Memphis will take the stage for the final installment. 100% of the proceeds go directly to Broadway Impact. GLEE summer camps are being created throughout the United States, the Chicago Tribune reports. Camps based on the hit television show have been started in Illinois, North Carolina, Florida, Arizona, Indiana and Utah, the Tribune states.

Matthew Morrison told the Los Angeles Times that he finds 'Glee's Emmy nominations 'pretty darn amazing.' GLEE, on which Morrison stars as glee club director Will Schuester, was nominated for nineteen Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy and Outstanding Actor in a Comedy for Morrison.

Amongst the nominations were Broadway vets Lea Michele and Matt Morrison for Best Actress and Actor in a Comedy and GLEE for Best Comedy Series.

I've been waiting years to see Wicked. Numerous times I've just missed the national tour as I moved from city to city and there were some unfortunately timed vacations along the way. For years friends and family have been telling me how much I have to see this show and the Original Cast Recording has played countless times in my car and office. So last night as three winged-monkeys turned a crank to raise the Wicked curtain during the Overture, my excitement could not have been higher. But I never imagined I would leave the theatre feeling…disheartened.
