KT Tunstall makes a most welcome return today with the release of her totally addictive EP Golden State, on Caroline Records.

This August, Bloomberg Summer at the Roundhouse, the annual season dedicated to introducing new audiences to innovative culture, returns for its fifth consecutive year with Curtain Call by internationally renowned artist, architect and designer Ron Arad.  Ron Arad's 360° floor-to-ceiling installation is made up of 5,600 silicon rods suspended and filling the Roundhouse's iconic main space. Alongside the installation the Roundhouse has announced seven unique music events, designed by an eclectic mix of artists to take place as one-off performances in and around the installation.

Director Sean Foley, who has recently enjoyed sell-out success adapting and directing The Painkiller in the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company season of Plays at the Garrick will, starting this autumn, under producer Mark Goucher, direct two new productions in the West End.

For her first appearances at The Metropolitan Room, Andrea Axelrod will present Almost Like Being in Love - exploring songs 'about the cusp of love', with music director Barry Levitt and bass player Jon Burr.

The biggest tour of LET IT BE, the show that celebrates the music of The Beatles, comes to The Marlowe Theatre next month (June).

The Stephen Sondheim Society and Mercury Musical Developments today announce the 10thanniversary West End Gala for the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year and Stiles + Drewe Prize. To mark this special landmark occasion, the 2016 competition is being staged at the Novello Theatre in London on Sunday 15 May, hosted by star of stage and screen Julian Ovenden (Downton Abbey, Sunday in the Park with George, Merrily We Roll Along, Sondheim 80th Birthday Prom). In addition to this, among this year's judges will be Don Black,Jason Carr, Anne Reid MBE, Sondheim Society Patron Julia McKenzie and Olivier Award-nominated actress Sophie-Louise Dann, reuniting her with Ovenden after they performed together in Sunday in the Park with George at Theatre du Chatelet in Paris. Furthermore, writer and broadcaster Edward Seckerson will Chair the Student Performer judging panel. 

In 2016, Greenwich+Docklands International Festival (GDIF), London's largest and most ambitious festival of outdoor arts, presents a 21st birthday programme, including 6 World Premieres, 5 UK Premieres and 12 London Premieres. Presented as part of Royal Greenwich Festivals, the programme will include:• 3 large scale productions: The House, a spectacular fusion of dance, film and pyrotechnics to mark the 400th anniversary of The Queen's House; Silence, a new outdoor theatre production created by the renowned Polish company Teatr Biuro Podro?y; and The Clash of Drums by Les Commandos Percus & Deabru Beltzak, an explosive fusion of percussion and fireworks

Last night, the Sheridan Smith-starring revival of FUNNY GIRL opened at the Savoy Theatre in the West End. The transfer follows a sold-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory, and the show is booking until October 8. Smith takes on Barbra Streisand's iconic role of Fanny Brice, the Brooklyn singer and comedienne who became a Broadway sensation under producer Florenz Ziegfeld. The cast also features Darius Campbell as Nicky Arnstein, Marilyn Cutts as Mrs Brice, Maurice Lane as Mr Keeney, Valda Aviks as Mrs Meeker, Gay Soper as Mrs Strakosh, Natasha J Barnes as Emma/Mrs Nadler, Bruce Montague as Florenz Ziegfeld, and Joel Montague as Eddie Ryan.

The Donmar presents the UK premiere of Elegy by playwright Nick Payne. Directed by Artistic Director Josie Rourke, the full cast is Barbara Flynn as Carrie, Nina Sosanya as Miriam and Zoe Wanamaker as Lorna, all making a return to the Donmar stage. Elegy starts previews from tonight 21 April and imagines a very-near future in which radical and unprecedented advances in medical science mean that it's now possible to extend life.

Linzi Hateley returns to the role of Donna Sheridan in the global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! at London's Novello Theatre from Monday 13 June 2016.  This is a role she has played twice before in London - from 2007-2009 and in 2010.  Her other recent theatre credits include the national tour of Barnum, London Road (National Theatre) and Les Miserables (Queen's Theatre).  Linzi also appeared in the film version of London Road.
