The complete Tony Award-winning, Grammy Award-nominated Broadway cast of HAIR gave a performance from the smash hit musical on New Year's Eve in the heart of Times Square.Diane Paulus, Director of HAIR, staged the number, which will air on NBC's 'Countdown with Carson Daly.' The New York Times is now reporting that a meeting has been scheduled for Friday with director Julie Taymor and members of the creative team and producers to discuss and determine the fate of the show. Executives quoted (anonymously) in the New York Times story tell the paper that it's expected that the show may not be prepared to open by April 29, 2010, the cutoff date for the Tony Awards nominators.

The producers of HAIR have announced the addition of Vanessa Ray to the 'Tribe.' Ray, making her Broadway debut, temporarily replaces Allison Case in the role of 'Crissy' until January 2010. HAIR began preview performances on March 6 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre and opened to rave reviews on March 31, 2009.
