Music Director Robert Spano and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra have announced the appointment of five new full-time musicians. Four of the members began performing with the Orchestra in January 2011: Associate Principal Trumpet Karin Bliznik; Cello Jennifer Humphreys; Viola Yiyin Li; and Viola Jessica Oudin.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company is pleased to announce its inaugural NEXT UP: three productions showcasing Chicago's next generation of artists, presented in rotating repertory May 31 - June 19, 2011 in The Steppenwolf Garage, 1624 N. Back by popular demand, the critically acclaimed Chicago-based contemporary dance ensemble Molly Shanahan/Mad Shak will present a reprise of "Sharks Before Drowning," which premiered last December at Northwestern University.

Following last year's well-received debut, The Dance COLEctive (TDC), under the direction of award-winning choreographer and teacher Margi Cole, again presents "COLEctive Notions 2011," a concert program promoting the development of new work created by TDC company members. Performances are June 3-5, 2011 at Links Hall, 3435 N. Sheffield in Chicago.
