Casa 0101 Theater, Josefina Lopez, Artistic Director, and The Center for Collaboration with the Arts at Whittier College will present "Lorca in a Green Dress," written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, Nilo Cruz, under the direction of Jennifer Sage Holmes at Casa 0101 Theater, 2102 E. 1st Street (at St. Louis Street), Boyle Height, Calif., on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 5:00 p.m., July 20 - August 26, 2012.

Chicago-based Fine Arts Music Society (FAMS) previously announced its 2012 Fine Arts Music Society Summer Music Festival in Brown County, IN (home of the Brown County Art Colony) from today, July 7 through July 21, 2012. Renowned Festival faculty includes FAMS Founder, Artistic Director, and violinist David Yonan (bio below), critically acclaimed "passionate pianist and scholar" Svetlana Belsky (Coordinator of Piano Studies at the University of Chicago), and clarinetist Cory Tiffin (Principal, Las Vegas Philharmonic and Chicago High School of the Arts faculty member) plus the following pedagogues: Myra Patterson (violin/viola), Nazar Dzhuryn (cello), Saori Chiba (piano) and Susan Merdinger (piano).

La Jolla Playhouse has just announced casting for its upcoming production of An Iliad, a one-man adaptation of Homer's classic tale, adapted by Denis O'Hare (Tony Award-winning actor in Take Me Out) and Lisa Peterson (director of the Playhouse's Surf Report and Be Aggressive), based on a translation by Robert Fagles, directed by Lisa Peterson. A co-production with Berkeley Repertory Theatre, An Iliad features Henry Woronicz as the "Poet," with Brian Ellingsen as the "Musician" and runs August 11 - September 9 in the Mandell Weiss Forum.

Pittsburgh CLO will present Fiddler on the Roof, July 13-22 at the Benedum Center. This classic tale is filled with 'memorable music, rousing dances and a touch of human wisdom.'

The Chicago Commercial Collective has announced the return of the Chicago and Broadway hit drama, A Steady Rain, with its original cast and crew to the Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Ave. The production, written by Keith Huff and directed by original director Russ Tutterow, runs Saturday, July 7 - Sunday, Sept. 2. Previews are July 7 at 8 p.m. and July 8 at 2 and 7 p.m. Opening/Press night is Tuesday, July 10 at 7:30 p.m. The regular run is Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and are $40 (preview tickets are $35) and may be purchased online at www.asteadyrainchicago.com. A440 Arts Group welcomes Duo Sonidos (Adam Levin, guitar and William Knuth, violin) to its growing roster of composers, classical musicians, and ensembles for management and publicity in North America. A440 will also represent Adam Levin as a soloist.

The closing night concert for the 2012 Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project was held on Friday, June 23, 2012. For the seventh year, the Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project hosted the nation's most promising songwriters across all genres including music theatre, pop, jazz, rock, and contemporary pop at Northwestern University. Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) announces new additions to its administrative leadership and Board of Directors. Earlier this month Founding Partner of CAI Private Equity Peter M. Gottsegen was unanimously elected to serve on the orchestra's Board of Directors and New England Conservatory Sistema Fellow Jennifer Kessler joined the staff as Director of Education.
