We have a feeling Broadway fans are going to love the 2016 Boston Pops season, running May 6-June 18, under the direction of conductor Keith Lockhart. Featuring classic Boston Pops programming, including film scores of the silver screen, ballads from Broadway and the great American Songbook, classic rock anthems, and a Gospel Night spectacular, along with an impressive lineup of Boston Pops debuts, new programs that spotlight the best of the worlds of dance and puppetry, and the return of last year's audience favorite -- Pops On Demand: You Choose the Tunes -- the lineup features a slew of Broadway talent, including Sutton Foster, Mandy Patinkin, and Marin Mazzie & Jason Danieley.

Music Director Robert Spano will conduct the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO), the ASO Chorus, soloists and actors in the world premiere of Christopher Theofanidis' Creation/Creator Today, April 23, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. at Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center. Creation/Creator will be presented in the Theater of a Concert format with stage direction by James Alexander. The concerts will be recorded live for CD release on the ASO Media Label.

Opera San Jose to Host Irene Dalis Memorial Concert, 5/16

Opera San José is hosting a memorial concert for its former general director and founder, Irene Dalis, at the California Theatre on May 16, 2015 at 8 p.m. The concert will feature arias and ensembles performed by over 20 current and former members of Opera San José's resident company, accompanied by the Opera San José Orchestra and Chorus.

Chicago Opera Theater (COT) presents the Chicago premiere of Ernest Bloch's provocative and rarely-performed "Macbeth" at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance (205 E. Randolph Drive) September 13-21, 2014. Conducted by Francesco Milioto and directed and designed by COT General Director Andreas Mitisek, "Macbeth" features the collective talents of COT, the Chicago Sinfonietta and the Apollo Chorus under the direction of Stephen Alltop. Together they provide an expressive soundscape for this bone-chilling thriller based on themes of ambition, treachery and deception. Tonight, Monday, May 24th at 8pm, 88's Cabaret is very excited to celebrate its 3rd Anniversary with performances honoring the last three years. The event will be held at La Boheme's sister restaurant Gonpachi in Beverly Hills. Gonpachi will feature a special menu for 88's with something for everyone (and not at Beverly Hills prices!). Appetizers will start at just $3. The cost is $15 to be seated with dinner (with dinner reservation) and $10 for standing room only, with a cash cover at the door. Cover prices have been lowered as a thanks to all patrons over the past three years. There will be a big announcement at the show that 88's is very excited about. The evening will also include give-aways, prizes and surprises.
