THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record in Toronto for the week ending May 19. The show broke the record at the Princess of Wales Theatre grossing $1,549,131.00.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record in Toronto for the week ending May 12. The show broke the record at the Princess of Wales Theatre for an 8-performance week, grossing $1,510,230.00.

The 24 Hour Company is teaming with the Exchange, an off-Broadway theater company, to create the fifth-ever 24 Hour Musicals. The event benefits the Exchange's summer retreat, The Orchard Project, which kick-starts innovative new theatrical work from around the world.

Now in its 15th season, Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook celebrates the best in American singing and songwriting with a new chapter in the Songbook story: 'American Songbook in the Penthouse,' a series of weekend-only performances by performers and composers presented in the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse. Featured on Friday, April 19, was teh music of Kerrigan & Lowdermilk, featuring Michael Arden, Nikki M. James, Carrie Manolakos, Josh Young and others.

In Toronto, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, with up to 24 tickets available at $25 each, cash only.

Last night, The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center honored Christopher Plummer at a gala event in New York City. The 13th Annual Monte Cristo Award was presented to Mr. Plummer by fellow stage and film legend Kevin Spacey. Mr. Spacey was the recipient of the Monte Cristo Award in 2009. Acclaimed Off-Broadway theater company Playwrights Horizons has announced additional details for its 2013 special online Auction in connection with its annual Spring Gala. Bidding for the auction, which will feature an eclectic array of items and unique opportunities, began Friday March 29 at 10AM at www.biddingforgood/playwrightshorizons. Online bidding will continue through Monday, April 15 at 8PM.
