The Helpmann Awards are Australia's version of Broadway's Tony Awards and London's Olivier Awards. The annual awards recognise achievement in live performance including musical theatre, contemporary music, comedy, cabaret, opera, classical music, theatre, dance and physical theatre.

Bangarra Dance Theatre will take to the Playhouse stage at Arts Centre Melbourne from 28 August 2014 with the Melbourne Premiere of its new work Patyegarang. Choreographed by Artistic Director Stephen Page, Patyegarang commemorates the story of a young Eora woman who shared her culture and language with one of the first settlers in the place we now call Sydney.

Due to popular demand and following a hugely successful opening last week with glowing reviews from critics and audiences alike, Bangarra Dance Theatre has announced that six new shows have been added to the Sydney season of Patyegarang, now closing on 12 July.

Bangarra Dance Theatre will take to the Sydney Opera House stage from 13 June with the world premiere of its new work Patyegarang. Nominations were announced today for the Sydney Theatre Awards for 2013, which will be presented at a gala ceremony on Monday January 20, 2014 at 6pm at the Paddington RSL.

With more than 500 dazzling 2011 Tony Award-winning costumes, Priscilla features a hit parade of more than 20 dance-floor favorites including 'It's Raining Men,' 'Finally' and 'I Will Survive.'
