For their final episode of 2013, The Ensemblist put out a call through social media for listeners to submit their own questions. Fans submitted questions through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and at theensemblist.com. The Book of Mormon is now in its third year at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre, where it has played over 1120 performances.
Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON has broken the house record in Denver for the week ending October 27 at The Buell Theatre for an 8-performance week grossing $1,943,740.00.
THE BOOK OF MORMON's tour stars Nic Rouleau and Ben Platt just announced via Twitter that they will soon join the Broadway company, replacing Matt Doyle (Elder Price) and Cody Jamison Strand (Elser Cunningham) respectively. Rouleau wrote: 'Thrilled to announce that Heavenly Father is sending me back to Broadway to serve another mission at @BookofMormon in January!!' Platt wrote: 'Bursting with excitement to finally announce that I will be joining the Broadway company of @BookofMormon this January!! #DreamComeTrue #NYC'
While Book of Mormon is not necessarily a musical for everyone, it is definitely a show that opens up conversation about some very important issues and is sure to keep audiences talking for years.

This week's featured composer is Benjamin Velez. Benjamin Velez is a composer/lyricist and recent Columbia University graduate where he studied film and wrote the 114th Annual Varsity Show. He is a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater workshop where he was named the Jerry Harrington award winner for the 2nd year workshop. His work has been featured as part of AWOL's 8 Minute Musicals at NYMF, The Platform concert series, and in last year's NEO concert. He is currently workshopping his original musical Afterland with collaborator Kathryn Hathaway, and recently premiered the title song at Joe's Pub as part of the latest CEC concert. While originally from Miami, he is now happy to call New York home sweet home.
