Joe's Pub at The Public has announced a special concert on November 9 at 9:00 PM to benefit its New York Voices commissioning series and to celebrate 15 years of presenting the best in live music and performance nightly.

Bob O'Hare made his cabaret debut in May of 2009 with 'Home: A Musical Journey.' It was a wonderful way to kick off his summer. It was well-received, with Sandi Durell lauding its 'carefully chosen songs cleverly intertwined' and 'truly realized' performances.

Joe's Pub at The Public has confirmed the premiere of Bridget Everett in Rock Bottom, a brand new theatrical event commissioned as part of its New York Voices series on October 30, November 1 & 2 at 9:30 PM. Written by Everett with Tony-winning writing duo Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman and Adam Horovitz of the Beastie Boys, Rock Bottom is the entertainer's first major show since 2007's At Least It's Pink and the first since her critically-acclaimed tour with Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer. Birdland Jazz Club has announced their brilliant line-up of marvelous talent for the month of October 2013. Birdland will kick-off their electrifying month of programming with the following acts:

Songwriter and Playwright Michael Mitnick (Fly By Night, Animal House) comes to Joe's Pub at The Public for a one-night concert of his songs on September 9th at 9:30 PM. Described as 'his first public concert in 30 years,' Mitnick will be joined by a four-piece band and an ensemble of Broadway performers including Santino Fontana (Billy Elliot, Cinderella), Adam Riegler (Addams Family), Will Connolly (Once), Austin Durant (War Horse), Peter Friedman (Ragtime), Jessica Grove (A Little Night Music) and more. Directed by Daniel Goldstein, Music Directed by Alvin Hough, including some songs written with Will Connolly, Kim Rosenstock, Simon Rich, and Massive Attack.

Joe's Pub at The Public will welcome conceptual artist, musician and educator Nora York in Water Water Everywhere / Nay Any Drop To Drink, a new work presented by Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, Ballroom Marfa and the Public Concern Foundation as part of the city-wideMarfa Dialogue NY symposium on climate change. This one-night-only performance takes place at Joe's Pub on November 10 at 7:00 PM and is FREE and open to the public.

The performances, scheduled for October 2013 through and May 2014, include: The swingin' big band group Big Bad Voodoo Daddy; the hilarious Broadway musical ELF; the inspirational African Gospel group Soweto Gospel Choir; and violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman. The on-sale date for single tickets to WICKED will be announced at a later date.
