Joe's Pub at The Public has announced the Beck Song Reader Stage during Make Music New York, the annual festival of free concerts in public spaces throughout all five boroughs, today, June 21 from 11am - 7pm.

Joe's Pub at The Public is proud to welcome seven different artist residencies this summer including sultry pop songstress DIANE BIRCH, New Orleans piano virtuoso HENRY BUTLER, performance artist JOHN KELLY, swinging jazz band THE HOT SARDINES, airhostess/comedienne PAM ANN, and more. Like its NEW YORK VOICES commissioning program, these residencies are a central part of the venue's commitment to artist development and to providing space for new work. Joe's Pub at The Public will make its debut in Brooklyn as a co-presenter at the second annual Great GoogaMooga Festival in Prospect Park. The three-day outdoor food, drink and music festival is produced by Superfly Presents and will take place today, May 17 through Sunday, May 19, 2013. The Joe's Pub Stage will host eight performances on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19.

BENJ PASEK and JUSTIN PAUL have added a second show at Joe's Pub at The Public on Wednesday, May 15. An 11:30 PM show was just added due to popular demand after the 9:30 PM show sold out. The Tony Award nominated composer and lyricist team is celebrating the new Ghostlight Records cast recording of Dogfight. Both shows will features performances by the original cast of the Second Stage Theatre production and other special guests. Dogfight just won the 2013 Lucille Lortel Award for "Outstanding Musical." This week at Joe's Pub at the Public, April 22 through April 28, 2013, the lineup will feature: Mike Daisey, Leslie Kritzer: Beautiful Disaster, Megan Hilty, Ashley Davis, Bridget Everett and the Tender Moments, No Band: John Simon's Songs and Stories on the Road to Now, Slavic Soul Party!, Public Forum: Sonnets for the City, K's Choice with a Fragile Tomorrow, Song of a Convalescent Ayn Rand, Never Sleep Alone, Paul Oakley Stovall and Brad Simmons, and J Rome's Night of April Fools in Love.

The McCallum Theatre announced today its new lineup of world-class entertainment scheduled for the 2013-2014 season with Tony Award-winning musicals and plays, legendary performers, beloved singers, Desert favorites, and international artistry all part of a very full and exciting roster. Subscriptions go on sale on Monday, April 8th at 8am for the Rabobank Broadway Blockbuster Series, Broadway and Beyond Series, Fitz's Jazz Cafe at the McCallum Series, Keyboard Conversations with Jeffrey Siegel Series, as well as a Create-Your-Own Series which allows patrons to mix, match, and program a full season of entertainment tailored to their own individual tastes.

Helio Alves Quartet will play the Shapeshifter Lab tonight, April 3rd at 8:15pm. The quartet features Helio Alves: Piano; Mike Moreno: Guitar; Peter Slavov: Bass; and Alex Kautz: Drums.
