TNC Presents DOLLFACE, 12/23-1/16

If you can remember that there ever was a Jack Paar or Milton Berle, you'll plotz for 'Dollface,' a raunchy, witty musical comedy for the holiday season, conceived and written by B.J. Sebring, with lyrics by David Forman, music by David Forman & Rob Hyman with additional material by Bette Midler, Rick Chertoff, Eric Bazilian and Lou Bellofatto. The naughty Christmas tuner was introduced as a workshop in Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival this past summer. TNC is now presenting its premiere run December 23 to January 16 in its Johnson Theater.

A Noise Within Presents GREAT EXPECTATIONS, 10/30-12/19

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, revisits CHARLES DICKENS' thrilling GREAT EXPECTATIONS with the West Coast premiere of a powerful stage adaptation by Neil Bartlett opening Saturday, October 30 and closing Sunday, December 19, 2010 (previews begin Saturday, October 23). ANW Co-Founders and Co-Artistic Directors Julia Rodriguez-Elliott and Geoff Elliott co-direct this production - which features original music by noted composer Doug Newell - based on Dickens' masterful novel. Bartlett was also the adaptor of A Noise Within's 2008-09 season favorite Oliver Twist. This marks the second time Rodriguez-Elliott and Elliott have co-directed Great Expectations at A Noise Within, the first produced during the 1995-96 season, winning numerous awards.

Preview Begin Today for Roundabout's IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director)begins previews for the new Broadway production of Oscar Wilde's comedy The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by and starring Brian Bedford as 'Lady Bracknell,' at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd St.) on Friday, December 17th, 2010 and open officially on Thursday, January 13th, 2011. This is a limited engagement through Sunday, March 6th, 2011.

LCT3 Presents 4000 MILES With Ebert, Wilson, Previews 6/6/2011

LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences, will present the 4000 Miles a new play by Amy Herzog, directed by Daniel Aukin, as the third production of its 2010-2011 season.

HONEY BROWN EYES Set For Off-B'way Run

HONEY BROWN EYES by Stefanie Zadravec - winner of the Helen Hayes Award for Best New Play in 2009 at Theater J in Washington, DC - will be given its New York premiere by Off-Broadway's Working Theater, with previews beginning January 9 prior to an official opening night January 16 at the Clurman Theatre (410 W. 42 St.) on Theater Row in Manhattan, it has been announced by Mark Plesent, Working Theater's Producing Artistic Director.
