Lincoln Center and TDF Extend TKTS Pop-Up Residency

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Theatre Development Fund (TDF) announce a three-month extension of the pop-up TKTS residency at the David Rubenstein Atrium's Zucker Box Office (located on Broadway between 62nd and 63rd Streets) through Saturday, January 28.

The Bessies Announce Recipients of the 2016 NY Dance and Performance Awards

The NY Dance and Performance Awards, The Bessies, New York City's premier dance awards honoring outstanding creative work in the field, announced the complete list of the 2015-16 season award recipients tonight at the 32nd Annual Bessie Awards ceremony. Awards were presented in the categories of Outstanding Production, Outstanding Performer, Outstanding Music Composition/Sound Design, and Outstanding Visual Design, with additional awards presented for Lifetime Achievement and Outstanding Service to the Field of Dance. The full list of 2016 Bessie Award recipients follows.

2016 Bessies to Honor Choreographer Brenda Bufalino with Lifetime Achievement Award

The NY Dance and Performance Awards, The Bessies, New York City's premier dance awards honoring outstanding creative work in the field, announce legendary tap innovator and choreographer Brenda Bufalino as the recipient of the 2016 NY Dance and Performance Award for Lifetime Achievement in Dance; and The Jerome Robbins Dance Division of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts and Alex Smith, Executive Chairman of the Thelma Hill Performing Arts Center, as this year's recipients of Outstanding Service to the Field of Dance.

Lincoln Center's First-Ever Campus-Wide Livestream Schedule Announced; Will Offer Unprecedented Access to the World's Leading Cultural Center

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts announced new details for its upcoming global livestream, A Day in the Life at Lincoln Center, the daylong Facebook Live broadcast on October 7, 2016. The unprecedented live event will feature all 11 resident performing arts organizations at Lincoln Center. The livestream will be produced by Telescope, the leader in real-time audience engagement, and powered by their Live Studio streaming platform, giving never-before-seen access to activities both onstage and off. 

Lincoln Center Hosts Annual LC Kids Trick-or-Treat Event

Lincoln Center once again welcomes costumed kids and families for a festive Halloween celebration. Hosted by the LC Kids program, the all-ages event will feature trick-or-treating around the cultural campus, a parade to live music, a haunted scavenger hunt, a David Bowie tribute concert and dance party, and a number of additional free activities to delight all ages. Last year's inaugural Trick-or-Treat event welcomed more than 10,000 people to Lincoln Center, marking it as a destination for families and children of all ages to celebrate Halloween.

Lincoln Center Offers Access To Cultural Campus By Livestream

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts announced today it is pulling back the curtain and bringing arts fans behind-the-scenes of the world's leading cultural campus on Friday, October 7, 2016, with A Day in the Life at Lincoln Center, which will stream live on its Facebook page. The all-day Facebook Live broadcast will give never-before-seen access to activities onstage and off.

Two Kentucky Titles Named Finalists In Theatre Library Association Contest

Two books in the University Press of Kentucky's Screen Classics series have been named award finalists by the Theatre Library Association.Ziegfeld and His Follies: A Biography of Broadway's Greatest Producer by Cynthia Brideson and Sara Brideson was one of ten finalists for the George Freedley Memorial Award for an exemplary work in the field of live theatre or performance. In addition, Dalton Trumbo: Blacklisted Hollywood Radical by Larry Ceplair and Christopher Trumbo was one of eight finalists for the Richard Wall Memorial Award for an exemplary work in the field of recorded performance.
