The New York Choral Society Presents ST. LUKE PASSION, 4/8

The New York Choral Society (NYCHORAL) under the direction of its Music Director David Hayes will give the New York Premiere of celebrated Scottish composer James MacMillan's St. Luke Passion. NYCHORAL will be joined by organist Jason Roberts as well as the remarkable Brooklyn Youth Chorus under Artistic Director Dianne Berkun Menaker. James MacMillan's St. Luke Passion, written in 2013, is the second of four planned works, each based on one of the Gospels which aim to approach the differing passion accounts from contrasting stylistic per-spectives. The concert will take place on Saturday evening, April 8, 2017, 8 pm  at the landmark St. Bartholomew's Church, at 51st Street and Park Avenue. The program follows:

 Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts presents All These Wonders: The Moth at Lincoln Center on March 29, 2017, at 7:30 pm in Alice Tully Hall. This special evening celebrates the release of THE MOTH PRESENTS ALL THESE WONDERS: True Stories about Facing the Unknown, the second book from The Moth-a nonprofit organization dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling.

David Gordon's Live ARCHIVEOGRAPHY Premieres at ODC Theater

ODC Theater is proud to present David Gordon and Pick Up Performance Co(s) in the world premiere of LIVE ARCHIVEOGRAPHY, a retrospective tracing five decades of the legendary theater and dance artist's work. Live Archiveography runs April 20 -22, Thursday to Saturday at 8 p.m.

ODC Theater Announces 2017 Season

ODC, the most active center for contemporary dance on the West Coast, has announced the program for its 2017 Theater Season. Highlights include world premieres by David Gordon, FACT/SF, Monique Jenkinson, tinypistol, Laura Elaine Ellis and Smith/Wymore Disappearing Acts, and West Coast premieres by Kate Weare Company and The Foundry. Additional season highlights include remounts of seminal works by Joanna Haigood and RAWdance.

TV Exclusive: Broadway and West End Get the Spotlight in New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' CURTAIN UP Exhibit!

New York's Broadway and London's West End have long been the biggest destinations for live theater, and now, a new exhibition at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts honors the rich creative talent and award-winning productions in both cities. Co-curated by The Library for the Performing Arts and the V&A, where the exhibition debuted last year, in partnership with the Society of London Theatre (SOLT), Curtain Up: Celebrating the Last 40 Years of Theatre in New York and London highlights how the theatre districts of both cities have flourished and developed since 1976. The exhibition, which opened at The Library for the Performing Arts in Lincoln Center on October 31, 2016 and is on display through June 30, 2017.

Lincoln Center announced today '30 Days for $30,' a new initiative offering greater access to performances for 30 days between February 1 and March 4, 2017. Via an online lottery hosted by Jujamcyn Theaters, Lincoln Center and many of its resident organizations will make prime seats available for only $30 to a wide swath of productions across the campus.
