Beginning today, The Morgan Library & Museum presents Robert Wilson/Philip Glass: Einstein on the Beach, a focused exhibition that marks the first public display of Glass's autograph score and the first time it has been united with Wilson's production storyboards since the opera premiered more than thirty-five years ago. The exhibition will remain on view through November 4.

The smash-hit exhibition Star Quality: The World of Noël Coward will close on August 18 after a five-month, twice-extended run. The show focuses on Coward as playwright, composer, director, stage, screen, cabaret performer, and international celebrity, and represents the most comprehensive exhibition on Noël Coward ever assembled, including unique material from the collections of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Since it opened on March 11, 2012, the Exhibition has attracted over 17,000 visitors.

Highlighting the evolving role of libraries as educational culture hubs, programming includes improv performances by the National Comedy Theater; make-up makeovers by NYC's top drag queens such as Hedda Lettuce; a panel on LGBT hip-hop; celebrity impersonators discussing diva worship; music industry veterans Meli'sa Morgan, Full Force and Christopher "Play" Martin discussing overcoming financial struggles; a master class in career reinvention by George C. The Film Society of Lincoln Center previously announced the schedule for COWARD ON FILM (May 11-13), which runs in conjunction with the ongoing citywide festival STAR QUALITY: THE WORLD OF NOËL COWARD honoring the British playwright, actor, director and composer. The series will trace the breadth of his film work, which ranges from British silent and sound adaptations of his early plays to the later prestige productions of his works made in Hollywood. Notable films from his multi-film collaboration with the young David Lean will also be highlighted, as well as his celebrated cameo appearances in others' films.

To celebrate the 150th birthday of modern-dance pioneer Loie Fuller (1862-1928), Jody Sperling/Time Lapse Dance, in association with The Joyce Theater Foundation, presents a season honoring her legacy at Joyce SoHo. The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts and The Noël Coward Foundation will open the multimedia exhibition Star Quality: The World of Noël Coward on March 12. The exhibition is opening in conjunction to a city-wide festival celebrating the life and career of Noël Coward. Star Quality: The World of Noël Coward will be on display from March 12 to August 18, 2012 in the Donald and Mary Oenslager Gallery at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at 40 Lincoln Center Plaza. Admission is free.
