The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced details for its 2013 NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation Competition (NNBS). The singing competition returns for its eighth year and will take place at New World Stages (340 W. 50th Street).

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) will begin accepting submissions for their 2014 Next Link Project today, Monday, September 9th. Submissions will be accepted through Friday, November 1st. Those who submit materials by Thursday, October 3rd will receive an 'early bird discount' of $20 off the standard $75 application fee. Robert Cuccioli, the Tony nominated star of Jekyll and Hyde, will play Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr. in an upcoming industry reading of the musical Ghostlight. Ghostlight, which has book, music and lyrics by Matthew Martin and Tim Realbuto, tells the true story of Ziegfeld Follies girl and silent film star Olive Thomas, her rise to fame in the Follies alongside Fanny Brice, her affair with a married Ziegfeld, her Hollywood marriage to movie star Jack Pickford, and ultimately her tragic downfall which led to her mysterious death at age 25 in Paris.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced today that multi-award-winning actor Hollis Resnik will perform the lead role in End of the Rainbow, a theatrical homage to the late, great Judy Garland. An accomplished stage, television and film actor, Resnik brings the depth of acting and musical experience to portray the iconic Garland as well as the emotional intensity and high energy that the role demands. End of the Rainbow runs from January 7 - March 9 and opens on Friday, January 10 on The Rep's Quadracci Powerhouse main stage theater.
