HAIRSPRAY Extends At Paper Mill Playhouse 9/22-10/24

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director) announces that the 2010-2011 season opening production, Hairspray has extended its performance schedule. Originally scheduled to run through October 17, Hairspray will now run from September 22 through October 24, 2010. Casting will be announced soon.

The New York Society Library/Razors Edge Present Gurney's LOVE LETTERS 10/21

Razors Edge Productions and The New York Society Library presented Bill Connington (ZOMBIE), Stephanie D'Abruzzo (AVENUE Q), Michael Laurence (TALK RADIO), Annmarie Benedict (ROBESON), Juliette Bennett (AS GOOD AS DEAD), and Nick Sullivan (FOOTLOOSE) in A CHEEVER EVENING by A.R. Gurney on October 21.

Toy Box Theatre Company Presents WOYZECK, 10/22-11/12

The award-winning Toy Box Theatre Company kicks off its 9th season with the premiere of their original adaptation of Woyzeck, Georg Büchner's unfinished working-class tragedy. Colonna Sonora, 2010 New York Innovative Theatre Awards nominee for best original music, will provide a live acoustic score, and members of the critically acclaimed production team of Toy Box's 2009 'Tis Pity She's a Whore return to bring this multidisciplinary work to life. Performances will be at Choicirciati Cultural Center, 64 E. 4th Street, New York, NY beginning October 22, 2010.

The New York premiere of PLAY DEAD, a new Off-Broadway thriller co-written and directed by Teller (of Penn & Teller) and co-written & performed by Todd Robbins, will begin performances at Off-Broadway's Players Theater (115 MacDougal Street at Minetta Lane) on Thursday, October 21 for an open-ended run. The official press opening is slated for Wednesday, November 10.

Razors Edge Productions and the New York Society Library present Bill Connington (ZOMBIE), Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Tony nomination for AVENUE Q), Annmarie Benedict (ROBESON) and others, who will bring to life two of A.R. Gurney's best-loved plays, both of them witty and touching looks at a segment of American life.

National Yiddish Theatre Presents FYVUSH FINKEL LIVE, 10/17-11/7

Its 96th consecutive seaon will be like no other, as the Drama Desk Award-winning National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene presents two new plays in the fall that demonstrate the broad scope and appeal of its programming. In 'Fyvush Finkel Live!' -- the world premiere of a musical revue starring the legendary Fyvush Finkel -- Folksbiene shows off its talent to produce good, old-fashioned entertainment that delights audiences of any age. In 'New Worlds: A Celebration of I.L. Peretz' -- starring the noted French performance artist Rafael Goldwaser -- Folksbiene nurtures new artists to add modern works to the Yiddish theatre's rich legacy. Both shows are presented at The Baruch Performing Arts Center, 55 Lexigton Avenue (at 25th Street).

MetroStage to Open with World Premiere of Glimpses of the Moon

Producing Artistic Director Carolyn Griffin is pleased to announce that MetroStage's 2010-11 season will open with the world premiere of Glimpses of the Moon, a Jazz Age musical based on a novel by Edith Wharton. The book and lyrics are written by Tajlei Levis and the composer is John Mercurio. Glimpses of the Moon will be in performance Sept. 8-Oct. 17.

THE ATEH THEATER GROUP is pleased to announce the world premiere production of Sara Montgomery?s WEEKEND AT AN ENGLISH COUNTRY ESTATE, directed by Paul Urcioli.
