Matthew Saldivar, Richard H. Blake & More Set for SAY, DARLING Reading, 3/21

UnsungMusicalsCo. (UMC) will present a developmental reading of the 1958 backstage comedy SAY, DARLING by Tony Award winner Richard Bissell (The Pajama Game), Tony Award winner Abe Burrows (Guys and Dolls) and Marian Bissell. The play with music features songs by the Tony Award-winning team of Betty Comden, Adolph Green and Jule Styne (Bells Are Ringing, Do Re Mi).

Wide Eyed Productions Continues 'Winks' Season with THE MISER, STANDARD APTITUDE and More

Wide Eyed Productions presents 'Wide Eyed Winks', a season of development. Performances run now through July 9, 2013, the second Today of every month. Upcoming dates include: March 12 at 7pm; April 9 at 7 pm; May 14 at 7 pm; June 11 at 7 pm; and July 9 at 7 pm. All performances are at The Underground Lounge, 955 West End Avenue at 107th street, New York, NY. Tickets are free, space is limited.

Donna McKechnie Attends A CHORUS LINE's Gala Opening at Theatre Memphis Tonight

A Chorus Line, the Tony and Pulitzer Prize award-winning musical about Broadway dancers auditioning for spots on a chorus line opens tonight, March 8, 2013, at Theatre Memphis with a gala event featuring the original A Chorus Line cast member and Tony Award winner for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical, Donna McKechnie.

CENTERSTAGE Premieres Marisa Wegrzyn's MUD BLUE SKY Tonight

Work, motherhood, missed connections, and prom night form the backdrop of Marisa Wegrzyn's tender, funny new play about three flight attendants and their unlikely companion. Mud Blue Sky is directed by Susanna Gellert and currently in rehearsal at CENTERSTAGE. This World Premiere production begins previews tonight, March 6, and runs through April 14.

Horse Trade Presents WORDS, RAZORS, AND THE WOUNDED HEART in April

Horse Trade Theater Group (Heidi Grumelot, Artistic Director, Erez Ziv, Executive Director) and Less Than Rent Theatre will present the World Premiere of WORDS, RAZORS, AND THE WOUNDED HEART by James Presson. The production will be directed by Jake Ahlquist (Fringe Excellence Award Winner '10) and star Sean Patrick Monahan (Charles Busch's Time Square Angel) and Emma March Barash (Stop the Virgins at St. Anne's Warehouse). The show will also feature Dean Acree (New York Dream at The Pearl), Cory Asinofsky (Puppet Hamlet), Amanda Brooklyn (HBO's Girls), Ben Diserens (the upcoming Wolf of Wall Street), Patrick Dooley, Jenna Grossano, Jackie Hansen, Jacob Presson, Tom Sanchez (Independents), and RJ Vaillancourt (Healthy Start by Gilad Cohen). Designs will feature sets by Grace Laubacher (Convergence at soloNOVA), lights by Gary Slootskiy (Independents), and costumes by Samantha Jacobsen.

Indie-Folk Band PigPen Theatre Co. Kicks Off Northeast Tour in NYC Tonight

Following their successful fall 2012 residency at Joe's Pub in NYC, the seven members of critically acclaimed indie-folk band/theater troupe PigPen Theatre Co. will embark on a four-date Northeast tour making stops in New York, Boston, Philadelphia and the Washington, DC area.

Florida Studio Theatre Extends URBAN COWBOYS Through 4/6

Florida Studio Theatre's tribute to the toe-tapping sounds that brought Americans to their feet, Urban Cowboys, has once again been extended and will now play until April 6. The boot-scootin' revue opened in Florida Studio Theatre's (FST) John C. Court Cabaret on Friday, January 4 at 7:30pm. A Chorus Line, the Tony and Pulitzer Prize award-winning musical about Broadway dancers auditioning for spots on a chorus line opens March 8, 2013, at Theatre Memphis with a gala event featuring the original A Chorus Line cast member and Tony Award winner for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical, Donna McKechnie. The event is being held on opening night and will feature a cocktail buffet, live auction that includes a trip to New York City and a pre-show presentation by Ms. McKechnie with drinks and desserts with the cast after the show. Member tickets are available for $75 per person and non-member tickets are $100 each. Reservations can be made by calling 901.682.8323. The full production runs through March 30, 2012.
