The Playwrights Realm has selected four early-career playwrights for its 2015-16 Writing Fellows program: Sam Chanse, Lauren Feldman, Jonathan Payne, and David Zax.

Producer Dana M. Lerner (Application Pending) and Far From Canterbury, LLC announce that FAR FROM CANTERBURY: A NEW MUSICAL with Book, Music and Lyrics by Danny K. The Representatives in association with The Olmsted Salon present this site-specific re-imagining of 'Veritas' by Stan Richardson, beginning Thursday, October 21st with an Opening on Monday, October 26. As a special event this fall, the Hill Country Community Theatre will host actor Lisa Dalton as she presents a new translation of the Anton Chekhov short story The Darling.  This unique one-person show, directed by Victor S. Tkachenko, has been performed in cities around the country, including Los Angeles, Fort Worth, and in New York as part of the New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC).

B Street Theatre's Mainstage will present the regional premiere of 5 LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE, playing October 4 - November 15, 2015.

Broadway In Chicago has announced full casting for the Chicago premiere of UNSPEAKABLE, a dramatic fantasia inspired by the life of comedic legend Richard Pryor. 

Donna/Madonna, the critically acclaimed, award-winning solo show written and performed by JP Karliak, will return to the Lounge Theatre in Hollywood for a special engagement of four performances only, it was announced today by Rizzo 39 Productions. Directed by Tiger Reel and Matthew Craig, Donna/Madonna is set to run tonight, September 10, through Sunday, September 13 only. 

With over 200 shows presented at FringeNYC Festival and 900 at Edinburgh Fringe, it's hard to be in the know about what's worth seeing. Even worse is having missed the show everyone is talking about post festival. Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, the Fringe Encore Series will present some of the most critically-acclaimed and crowd-pleasing shows from both festivals.  Possum Creek, which previously played to packed houses (3 sold-out shows) and garnered rave reviews at the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival, will have a limited run at The 2nd Annual Best Of The Fest at The Celebration of Whimsy.

 Following a critically-acclaimed and sold out run at the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival, Christopher Duva's adaptation of David Foster Wallace's essay, A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again, returns for a limited run as part of the Fringe Encore Series.

After selling out its entire critically acclaimed run at the New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) and being declared a FringeFAVE, Coping will return as part of the FringeNYC Encore Series. For those previously unable to get tickets to this sold-out production, this is a new chance to see the show, for a limited run of four performances only.

A stand-out hit at the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival, The Commedia Rapunzel has been selected as a "Best Of" from nearly 200 FringeNYC shows and the only Fringe Jr. show selected to receive additional performances at the FringeNYC Encore Series, beginning September 12th at SoHo Playhouse.

'Bubbleheads,' a one-act play written by Darcy Heller Sternberg, is a surreal, dreamlike look at the world of divorce and remarriage. The play imagines experiencing these events from the perspective of a child. The dialogue and interactions parallel the confusion and frustration a child feels as she watches her family fall apart. Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival will present the play's world premiere September 8 to 12 at Producers' Club Theaters, 358 West 44th Street, directed by Heather Chamberlain.

Award Winning Playwright, Paul Buzinskis' new play, SELECTION DAY, will have its World Premiere at Theatre 54, September 19th - October 3rd.

The Tank Theatre opens its fall season with this performance of THERE IS A HAPPINESS THAT MORNING IS at The Tank theater company.
