id Theater Returns to McCall with 17th Seven Devils Playwrights Conference

Now celebrating its 20th year, id Theater returns to McCall, Idaho with the Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, with events from June 8 to 17 at McCall's Alpine Playhouse. This will be the 17th year for the Conference, which will host nine playwrights from all corners of the United States whose work will be developed and presented to the public free of charge during the Conference.

Coney Island USA Launches Fundraising Campaign to Support MERMAID PARADE

Coney Island USA, the non-profit multi-arts organization whose programming includes some of New York City's most unique and beloved events, has announced its "Feed the Mermaids" campaign to help fund the upcoming 35th annual Mermaid Parade, taking place on June 17th. This year's festivities will be presided over by Queen Mermaid Deborah Harry and King Neptune Chris Stein of Blondie.

Coney Island USA's 35th Annual Mermaid Parade will begin at 1 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2017. The parade starts at the corner of West 21st Street and Surf Avenue, and proceeds east on Surf Avenue to West 10th Street, where it turns south to the Boardwalk, and then north back to Steeplechase Plaza, where it concludes.
Lightning in a Bottle Festival Announces New Lineups

Lightning in a Bottle has announced the musical lineup for the Compass area of the festival and the workshop and panel lineup of its Crossroads space. The announcement comes a week after the first round of speakers and workshops were unveiled for the new educational hub of the festival. The Musical and Performer offerings feature sights and sounds of other cultures from around the world. From belly dancing to German house, the music hosted at the Compass is hand-selected to pair with the mind-expanding classes that are held on grassroots political activism, social justice, climate change and indigenous land rights, digital activism, identifying truth in journalism and social media, decolonization, art activism, and more.
