London's Finborough Theatre will present THREE SEAGULLS, three staged readings complementing the London premiere production of The Notebook of Trigorin. The three works scheduled for readings are THE SEAGULL, HIS GREATNESS, and PIETA.
The Seventh Annual Langston Hughes African American Film Festival, running April 17 thru April 25, will feature a full schedule of events including the Genie Award-winning film, 'Nurse.Fighter.Boy', appearances by filmmakers including Altrick Brown, Ava DuVernay, Charles Officer, and Morgan Stiff, the Seattle Premiere of 'Soundtrack for a Revolution' and 'Mississippi Damned', a Family Friday, and a filmmaking workshop. The film festival is expected to draw over 2,500 people who are passionate about creating and appreciating films for the Black community. The Festival is run by community volunteers under the Direction of Jacqueline Moscou, Langston Hughes' Artistic Director.
Kerry Kennedy and the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, and The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will present a one-night-only benefit reading of Ariel Dorfman's play SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER: Voices From Beyond The Dark, adapted from Kerry Kennedy's book of the same name, on Monday, May 3 at 7 p.m. All proceeds from the reading will benefit the relief efforts of Habitat for Humanity in Chile.

The Soweto Gospel Choir will perform at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Thursday, February 11. This concert marks the choir's fourth appearance at the Phillips Center. The choir made their U.S. debut at the Phillips Center in 2005.
