PBS announced today a fall primetime line-up featuring a strong roster of wide-ranging programs. Among the exciting highlights will be "Barbra Streisand: Back to Brooklyn" in which the legendary Barbra Streisand makes a historic homecoming back to Brooklyn at the new Barclays Center arena

According to The New York Daily News, Neil Patrick Harris is set to return as host of the 2013 Tony Awards, airing Sunday June 9 on CBS.

Last night (Saturday, May 4), Calvin Harris, GRAMMY Award-winning artist and resident DJ of Hakkasan Las Vegas returned to the nightclub to perform to a sold out crowd. Prior to his performance, Harris along with good friend and fellow British singer/songwriter Rita Ora dined on the delicious authentic Cantonese cuisine at the newly opened Hakkasan Restaurant. Bay Area Cabaret will conclude its 2012-2013 season by honoring the memory and legendary career of composer Marvin Hamlisch. Selections from his work (A Chorus Line, The Way We Were, They're Playing Our Song) will be performed by special guests including Broadway stars Lisa Vroman (The Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd) and Karen Mason (Mamma Mia!, Sunset Boulevard), Grammy Award winner Billy Stritch, 2012 Bay Area Teen Idol winner Bobby Conte Thornton, Academy Award-winning songwriters Alan and Marilyn Bergman, and other guest artists to be announced. Having performed with Bay Area Cabaret for the grand re-opening of the Venetian Room in 2010, Mr. Hamlisch will always hold a special place in Bay Area Cabaret's history. This tribute to his legacy will take place on the late composer's 69th birthday, Sunday, June 2, 2013, at 8pm in the historic Venetian Room of the Fairmont San Francisco (950 Mason Street). On tomorrow night's episode of GLEE, a new song by Mervyn Warren and Tony winner Jeff Marx titled 'You Have More Friends Than You Know' will premiere. The song was written for a show centered around the 'It Gets Better' campaign. A portion of the proceeds from digital sale of the tracks will go to support The Trevor Project - the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth. Pop icon Britney Spears will release a song for Columbia Pictures/Sony Pictures Animation's highly anticipated family comedy The Smurfs 2, entitled 'Ooh La La,' via Kemosabe / RCA Records. 'Ooh La La,' which will play at the end credits of the film.

Like a beautiful art piece, the black & white modern telling of Shakespeare's comedy is visually stunning; a smart, contemporary setting for the merry war between Beatrice and Benedick.

Brooke Shields has been announced as the director of the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of CHICAGO, which holds the record as the third longest running show in Broadway history. Rob Fisher has also been announced as the conductor of the production. Shields starred in CHICAGO both on Broadway and in London's West End and this marks her directing debut. Fisher's association with the show began with the 1996 Broadway revival and he continues to be supervising music director of CHICAGO productions around the globe.

Point Foundation (Point), the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students of merit, honored Nigel Barker and The Estee Lauder Companies Inc. last night, April 15.
